Sometimes the named bosses bug out in the werewolf defense challenge and dont attack unless you find them on the map and kite them back to the party.

this can cause you to loose stars or fail optionals.
please fix pathing issues,

All New Challenges
Also seems the cr difficulty is not affecting the amount of resources you get from quest completion.
tried cr22 cr25 cr23 cr24 a few times also 5 star'd it and all about the same number of resources regardless.

about 100 +5ish depending on number of stars achieved.

The Boss Claive the Carver will not go after the party directly, and that's by design. If the other boss (who shows up after nightfall) isn't pathing to the middle of the map, please file a bug report, and mention which lane he's getting stuck in if you know it.

On the resources - I too got the same number of Tricrowns at CR 25 and CR 30 (character was level 21, score was almost the same, and the 25 run was one-star while the 30 run was two).

I would have thought that a CR 30 run would award a good amount more ingredients than a 25 with comparable scores.

Is there a way to convert rewards in the new challangs like you can in the candith? The protect NPC ones are annoying so would like to skip them even if it means doing a 2:1 conversion like the candith ingredients.

not how it works.

Ingredients = Percentage of Score. Get same score? Same reward.

Run above lvl?
Score scaled.
+1 = +10%. +5 lvls over may be the max (+50%).

If kill = 1 pnt on cr20 at 20, u get 1.5 points on cr25 (fractions are stored tho nt displayed).

So thats not unusual. You ran a higher CR, which has a ton higher hp mobs, thus you killed less total mobs. Beign each monster is worth more points, you got the same score.

The tower seems fine on rewards. 1-2 runs per item if you do very well. The problem one is the ring of fire, takes 3-4 runs per.

Odd thing with tower score is it just .. stops. At some point, kills stop counting for points, possibly the werewolves dont count (and you get mostly wolves at the end). So ive had several cr30 runs, some better then others, all end at a VERY similarly score due to that.

I'm getting point/mat scaling, went to E'star at level 12 to do em. It's most noticeable in the tree quests.

The werewolves don't count, yeah. Just the early bandits/wolves and the bosses iirc. A full group compared to solo brings an extra 60ish points here with bigger spawns but that's it.

yeh so whats the point of doing cr30 if you get 125-140 mats tops

and you get 100+ for cr22.

once you do 5 star 2 times xp goes to normal again.

1. Possibility to 6 star (Maximum favor and xp)
2. Higher xp (base increases)
3. Higher challenge for more fun
4. Fun to compete for best score on max setting, even if the score only varies by a few points heh.

But yea they gota fix teh bug with the wolves not counting, once thats done then your seeing some bigger variation in score/reward.

Because pretty much what happens:
Waves 1-4 - pretty much on a set timer, and all so easy even the weakest groups can kill them within the time limit for maximum score, so everyones equal.

Until the boss comes out, then the waves spawn FAST, so the faster you kill the boss, the faster you can clear more trash for more points. However the trash no longer rewards poitns at that point ,thus the scores never vary much.

PS: Guys pls post your scores in my leaderboar,d so we can compare exactly how close we all are for fun.

In the other challenges without kill bugs, I tend to get less on cr30.

And agian to be clear:
Stars do not effect your score, nor your reward. They only award xp and favor.

However, certain objectives also reward extra chests. They usually match a star. EG: Kill the final dragon in ring of fire for a chest.

Btw, this is not new for the "new challenges". you'll encounter exactly the same thing on the olds ones. They just have a much bigger score variation because more factors can cause you to do poorly, where these are simply : Survive and put out X DPS, and win (well more to it then that we all know in ddo, but thats what it boils down to)

I always got a better score, and thus reward on CR21 vs 25 for example on the olds.

The big difference is mainly the scaling from 22-29 or so has very little impact. Only 30 seems to be a bit harder.

PS: The rewards don't matter at alll anyways, because the named items drop IN the challenges, at a high rate in certain ones, try them all out and find out which! Pretty much to make 1 item, its 10-15 runs, where as you have over a decent chance to get an item for each party mebmer in select challenges.

BTW: Steelstar: Please also fix the loot binding:
All Greataxes are BTC on acquire.
All handwraps BTC on equip
All shields do not bind.

It's incredibly convoluted. I think Bind on equip for all would be most appropriate.
