Explorer area xp changing?

Having issues with the explorer area xp changing.

Yesterday running in kings forest, each explorer (message) was worth 1800 (18,000 for them all), and today is worth 600 (6,000 for all). Today I ran in the demonweb area, each explorer was worth 1950 each, and now 3 hours later it is currently at 650 each. Somehow my xp is being cut to 1/3 of what it should be. (xp as shown quest journal, both in public & private instances).

I have tried relogging, resetting the instance, going in with more people in my party, nothing is successful yet to change it back. Obviously 28 max areas, so no one is over level. Just for the record running a FvS 20/2 epic.

In game bug/tickets is not working for the second day in a row, so no help there.

Anyone else having this issue?

2 levels in epic perhaps? I.e. scaling down due to the 2 epic levels

Looks like the same kind of repeat penalty one would expect from killing rares in an explorer.

I haven't leveled up today though....1st run in Demonweb gave me 1950 each, went to ship, came back to 1/3 xp. Have a guildie who I run with regularly, almost the same xp as me, she still get the correct xp.

I had the same problem. Got 1800 xp when I first started... then I was getting 600ish.

I think it might have to do with the challenges "lvl1" setting bug.

Try logging off. It seemed to fix my issue.

Just tried restarting, logging off/on, and switching toons....no luck - still borked on the xp.

Did 2 challenges yesterday, so maybe it is tied in to that bug somehow.

Having this issue as well, I've noticed when I was with a guildy I recieved 1.8k, but with a random pugger i only got 650 with voice

Huh..... noticed this as well, but kinda glossed over it since it was just explorer xp. Yesterday I was getting ~600 in the forest, but earlier today I was geting ~1800. Wonder which is the correct one.

1800 should be correct (at least thats what everyone I have talked to is getting).

You say "just an explorer xp", but a guildie & I spent an hour in the demonweb getting all the explorers, and walked away with over 120k xp.

Does the level you pick when you enter Kings Forest matter?

Did anyone else notice you can select your level?

I'm curious what-all (<- love that word) level selection affects.

I would guess this is due to the challenge bug, forcing the forest open on "normal" instead of "epic normal". It should not be an issue with character level, since the quest journal description says levels 20-26 (I'm not saying this is definitely NOT the problem, just that it should not be the problem).

Ok I got it fixed. After trying everything I could think of, I went into kings forest to help a friend kill the dragon. Picked up one of the messages, and got the full xp (1800) and my quest log updated to the correct numbers.

So I am guessing maybe relogging fixed it, but it didn't actually update till it advanced once. Thx all for your ideas.

I've had this issue in both King's Forest and Devil's battleground. Getting 1/3 the xp that is listed even though it's not a repeat kill.
