Fury made placid?

In the description, it says that you "cannot be raged or use Adrenaline" while under the effects. Does this mean that you can rage yourself before you activate fury made placid and just can't re-enrage while under the effects, or does FMP cause you to become un-raged?

All rage and adrenaline effects are intended to be removed when you activate Fury Made Placid.
