Question concerning Steam and the 500TP bonus for new players

As some of you know, DDO was recently released on steam, and there was also a new promotion where new players received a bonus 500 Turbine Points upon signup, and I have a few questions I am unsure about. I'm not too sure whether or not I will be using my steam account to player the game or will continue using my current one. I have several steam friends who wish to take on DDO because of the new Steam add on so I was wondering if I could still play with them while using my current DDO account. I was also wondering whether the 500TP bonus applied to existing characters aswell. Since I recently signed up (only a few days ago) I just wanted to know whether normal player would receive the bonus aswell because it would be slightly unfair for people who just signed up right before this promo.

don't take anything I say as concrete but I don't think you will get the bonus points on your old account, but you can use your own account to play with people using steam as all that does is launch the game.

If they select the same server that you play on you can play together. Steam doesn't change how DDO works it's just another place to get the game.

I believe the 500tp thing is for NEW accounts only. So if you want to get it you'd most likely have to make a new account through steam.

If you haven't gotten past level 5 or bought TurbinePoints rolling a new account isn't that big of a deal.
