Inspire Excellence

I just noticed this feat amongst the many new ones in my Unavailable section and after reading it was excited to see Bard got a nice big love with that song. It said Feat Required is; Inspire Heroics. it then later says in the feat Requires 20 trained ranks to use. Now I'm just wondering is this an Epic feat or a normal feat? I just hit 17, so therefore my ranks are now at 20. But I cannot use this song?!

Anyone else noticed this?

It's an epic feat, so can only be taken at lvl 21 or 24.

Man! That sucks, was really looking forward to being in a nice 20 shroud, with just dropping down +4 con to everyone :/ It's immediately less effective when it comes to Epics imo :(

It's also worth of mention that the bonus is competence, just like exceptional stats on items, so if someone already had +3 exc, it would only be a +1 upgrade.

I wonder if this is a reason to neglect exceptional stat items if you always or usually get a bard for your raids.

Beyond "regular" stat items, there are now +1 Exceptional, +2 Insight, and +3 Insight. Inspire Excellence should stack.

I know that my Bard has +2 Insight (used to be called +2 Exceptional) STR, and she got the full bonus when I played Inspire Excellence:Strength this afternoon.

I'll check again once Argo is back up, but I'm almost 100% sure.

Only the +1 exceptional are competence, the +2 and +3's are insight, so it would be a +3 upgrade if someone has that +1.
