Ravager and assassinate?

On another thread someone mentioned that in the past having the ravager set wouldn't allow a rogue to assassinate. Is that still true and if so, does anyone know if it's WAI or a bug that may be addressed at some point?

The ravager set does damage before the game checks for assassinate. So if you try to assassinate a mob that no one else has damaged, it will be aggroed to you, and you wont get your sneak attack damage/assassinate.

Most of the time it's not an issue
