So I downloaded the game and everything worked just fine. After installation I closed out of it and went out with family and friends. I came back and started looking for the game itself to play and checked everywhere before finding it in my games folder. I tried to open it and it does nothing at all. I right clicked it and the only options I have for it are: Copy, Pin to start menu, Add to Quick Launch, customize..., and Hide this Game. I then tried to repair the game and I left the option to launch the game selected and the launcher showed up and I could play it. I thought this fixed the problem and then turned off my laptop to take it out of town. I then started it up again to play and had the same problem. I don't want to have to go through the whole process of repairing it again just to play every time as it does take about 15 minutes to do so and then I have to redownload all the updates. Any help would be appreciated.

A surprisingly common problem. Here is the official answer from here: http://support.turbine.com/ics/support/kbanswer.asp?deptID=24001&task=knowledge&questionID=702
If for any reason the icon does not display or does not launch the game you can create a "desktop" shortcut manually by following the steps below:
Click on the Windows "Start" button and choose "Computer" from the list
In there double-click on your C: drive (may display as "Local Disk C")
Double-click on "Program Files" (note: if you see "Program Files (x86)" double-click on that one instead)
In that folder double-click on the "Turbine" folder and then the "Dungeons & Dragons Online" folder
In that folder look for "TurbineInvoker" (it will be the one listed as an "application" and will have the DDO red "shield" icon) and when you find it right-click it and choose "Send To" and then "Desktop (Create Shortcut)" and that will create a desktop shortcut to launch the game from.
