Hey Y'all
Yes, we said we would be down until Thursday, but we are trying to hunt down a pesky bug. We will be reopening Lamannia in a few minutes and you are welcome to join us. Everything should seem the same...but if you see monumental degrees of lag we would really like to know. There will be people monitoring from behind the scenes, so I challenge you to crash the server :)
Please remember any + names you see running about are pesky Kobolds trying to gather some info, so be nice to them.

Hard shroud, everyone bring a pet, and a companion. Casters keep disco balls going the whole time. Shouldn't take too long to bring it to it's knees ;)

If that doesn't work, we head for VoD, doing the same thing. If the sub manages to stay lag-free-ish, call it a night :p

(oh, and we're talking multiple parties here too, for maximum laggy goodness)

FYI- seem to be stuck on Update Game Data. So rushing in to start blowing things up is delayed until such a time as the launcher decides to get rolling again.

Anything about the totally fragmented sound files, both preview and hi-res that's causing problems? No matter how many times I try to defrag it doesn't fix 'em.

Disco ball is mostly hard on the clients. I think you're looking for Weapons Shipment + Mass Charm Monster.

Yeah - i've gotten dozens of 'crash on character selection screen' and one blue screen

Live client is still fine

I left after my latency spiked between 600 and 800. 10 minutes at those levels was more than enough for me.

Start and stop. Jehb, 18/2 arty, + pet+panther+GS Elie clickie right after transitioning out of the demonweb into the underdark.

Endless fusilage and the like functioned without immediate error (you had mentioned something about ranged and the demonweb being places to start looking). No destiny on that one to check synergistic faults, since I've been more focused on testing the PM and the fighter.

Just tried running Unquiet graves on my Monk with the 20/3 Favored Soul hireling and panther and I could not complete it due to frustration of lag. Literally take a step freeze take a step freeze. Lock up for several seconds. Panther was dead from aggro with the hireling soon to follow so I just quit the game. I can't build the patience to test more after that its just too frustrating.

Yeah, I hit the cleric random encounter in the forest and everything was down hill from there. That encounter just about froze my game. Right after that calmed down a touch, tried to run the Lost Threads, basically every time I jumped, I was stuck in midair for a good 20secs. Finally competed it after a painful time. Got back into Eveningstar and could only take about 3 steps, stop. 3 more stop. Got my end reward and quit.

Your peeps have probably considered this, but when Lamannia is available for a sort of "stress test", you could transmit via "World Event" on the live server and pick up possibly 7,000,000,000% more players to jump aboard.

Just quit because lag was so bad I couldn't even end a quest or talk to a vendor. Try back in a few minutes.

Had no issues in the kings forest.

However took me like 10 minutes to get to the kings forest and I started in Eveningstar.

Better Squash this bug...

They were trying to break it, so all in all, I think the test succeeded. Plus, got to see the new build, and notice that one of the strange graphical tearing issues is back! :)

Well that may be the case... from what I'm hearing though, there were some problems...

Also; first update that ever caused crashes, for me... blue screen of death... haven't seen you in a loooooooooooooong time.

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question.

Were the spawned dragons & titan actually doing any damage at the close of test. If so, was there a pass at ac/dodge for monks. Again if so, it did not show up on character sheet.

By the way. Love the animals now running or flying away in Kings Forest.

I was on my Cleric, and he was taking plenty of damage from both of them, and the guys in my party were taking damage as well.

I have to say, the implementation of spell wards are the most annoying things I've encountered in the expansion. For no reason other than 'we say so' they bypass FOM. Which is rather ridiculous.

I detest spell wards. It's a cheap way of adding elemental and poison damage and slow effect. And the fact that some are so poorly placed that they are considered blocked in some instances adds to the frustration. Of course the only good is that a rogue or Arti can disable them without first going behind them (provided they're not blocked somehow) unlike regular traps where the box might be behind the trap because the devs want to make sure you get hit first.

Finding the problem child is... good? Now you can give that child a stern talking to? Or, spank the poo poo out of him/her?

Would this be related to all lag (the lag on live)? Or, is this a problem that is being introduced with the expansion pack that you need to tamp down?

Good luck with the half of the building. If they give you too much trouble, go to HR and tell them you want to open an Atlanta office. :D

My server lag was horrendous, last time I played. Hope you got the little gremlin. I still haven't gotten past 9th level. Just as I got there they closed the Beta, again/ Please don't wipe the PCs! but could you update my Charcters for Copying. I now have a sixteenth level Monk and one Artificer too!.

Oh god, really? These sound like more artificial constructs designed to slow us down and keep us at the pre-determined "best" pace. BLERGHHHHHHH

That's kinda what Im thinking but rather than the stress test breaking it, they weren't able to six the lag issue. opening the server with the problems that existed when Maj opened would be an even larger fiasco.

The servers are down for mantaneince, and problably an extended update, like I've said in the downtime thread, I think they had another series of updates and rather than put the server up today for a few hours and bring it back down tomarrow, they have extended the downtime for the extra set of updates.
