Dex mod gone in Shadowdancer Destiny?

Dex mod? I'm assuming you mean dex to attack and damage? if so that sucks, ah well, LD for everyone it is then.

its going into a heroic feat or enhancement at some time. they decided to adding it to epic levels wouldnt be that good, so they are moving it into heroic levels. so you can get it sooner, just not sure when exactly they are going to do so

I wouldn't get your hopes up, can we get the source? or is this just an assumption? As an enchantment that can be splashed it might be op so im guessing it won't be splashable.

We've had a few meetings, and we agree with you that character build defining abilities like "gets Dex to damage" aren't going to be a good thing to have in epic destinies. These are things that really need to be available to characters that want to do that sort of thing relatively early in their careers (just like how we removed the BAB requirement from Weapon Finesse so long ago).

I know that many people aren't going to like to hear it, but I'm having Genasi remove the ability from the Shadowdancer, we need to handle abilities like that by letting characters have that sort of thing early on. There will be abilities like this in the new enhancement system, which seems to be a much better place for it.

Now we just need to make some abilities to replace those in the Shadowdancer innate line. Anything you guys want to suggest to Genasi?

Nice~first ideas popped out in my mind were "shadow step" and "shadow/blade dance"
Of cuz copied from WOW but they r indeed cool.

Then I noticed nearly everyone added "shadow step" into their suggestions....and maybe "shadow/blade dance" is a little OP especially for an autogrant.

shame that "shadow step" didnt make into open beta~~

hmmm ~~~ thinking about something new and amazing really hard since theres still a chance for a change.

Rogue Acrobat Tier I would be my hope.

Rogue Acrobat Tier III would be my expectation.

if it is an enhancement I doubt they'd make it a rogue only ability, or a prestige only ability, most likely it'd be an open enhancement that anyone is able to take regardless of race/class, yet make weapon finesse a prereq to prevent people from gimping their characters to much (although, i dont believe it was ever determined if bows would benifit from it if they had bow str. so its possible they wont even have a prereq on it)

Considering Rogue Acrobat Prestige I'd be incredibly annoyed if this was given to everybody as the Prestige would then be completely and utterly invalidated.

I could see Bow users getting a similar feat.

I could see Weapon Finesse getting a boost.

BUT Rogue Acrobat absolutely must be the only way you can dex a Q-Staff.

And Please Please Please Devs fix Acrobat ASAP to get this {To Hit and Dmg ALL the time - Not just sneak attacks}.

H-Orcs are NOT Acrobatic {Have you seen their builds recently?}.

Obviously it's not going to be just available to one type of pre, it's a dex class and all rogues can make very good use of it..

My guess is weapon finesse will have it tied in or it will be a new feat entirely, much like zen archery and such.

Shadow step and such is from the PnP Shadow dancer prestige class, so its not copied from WoW.

it is great combined with THF but all of my melee toons use TWF and it fails to impress me for them.
