Attacked by my own magic

Ok since logging on tonight I started using my lv25 druid with maxed Shiradis' and have noticed something a little disturbing. Every so offten when I cast a spell; from my spell book, scrolls, or items I will randomly get hit with a not insignificant amount of force damage without explanation. Casting has become hazardous to my health! Has anyone else had this happen? Is this some class 'feature'? If so there is NO WAY I will ever use this ED!

No it happens randomly and it just hits you there is a burst of purple like a force trap and then I'm missing like 90~100 hp

That's due to the innates and some of the enhancements (7% chance to do damage when you cast a spell or ranged attack) that are triggering on every spell cast, not just the offensive ones like it should. Kinda funny to see yourself blown up when you cast yourself a heal x)

Heh that one didn't get fixed yet, in beta4 some shiradi arties managed to kill themselves while summoning bolts ;)
