Is this accessible to all guild members including non-officers?
I have a couple people interested in joining my guild but I have never even played with them and I am not to keen on the idea of inviting someone to my guild just to have them loot my guild chest.

ALL members can use EVERYTHING on the ship. NONguild members cant use the ship chest.

A guild is not for recruiting strange folks you cant really even call allies yet. put them on friends list, work with them a few months, and then if they want to join your crew go for it. But dont keep valuables aboard when you bring new sailors aboard. They are known to be a scurvy and dishonest lot.

Meh...I just removed the guild chest...I was using for personal storage and I will easily sacrifice that for people who are contributing renown.

It was a solo guild but I think I would have come to the decision to remove all chests once I had actual players anyways as I hear they can create a ton of drama.

+1, don't know why, just need to spread out some rep (in order to give rep to someone else again).

i think small guild chests are accessible by all guild members while the large guild chest is only available to officers and leader

EDIT: nvm, there're different version of small and large chests, the special access guild chests from the ddo store are the ones that can only be accessed by the officers and leader

The ML 25 can be accessed by all members. I have a couple F2P (well, they were until I caved on the preorder bundle, it is just that good for going premium) accounts that I am building some clerics on and I just made them members in the guild. I pass low level stuff to those characters thru the guild chest.

A friend of mines guild got their chest cleared out by one of their officers who promptly left the guild with a LOT of expensive gear.

If I had a guild with more than one person in it I would not have a guild chest.

Or you could simply create a mule account, and store all the special shinies there..use the guild chest for twink gear or bank overflow and let your guildies know.
