I wondered all this past time why the turbine store webpage was so terribad.
So at last you have taken the step and made a store page that I can actually find in less than 10 minutes.
I just needed three or four clicks to get here:
http://store.turbine.com/store/turbine/en_US/list/categoryID.58516100/ThemeID.29252200
(First, DDO Store & Promotions >>>Then Click the text "visit the all New DDO Market"...if you click on the picture you go to another webpage....)
The steps were more or less logical.
I am not being sarcastic. The webpage before was hidden and I could only find it by searching the Thread of the Quatermaster.
Now, dear Turbine employees, if you would just put a nice link to go directly there, that would be superb.
Anyway, thanks for the effort. I mean it.

Ok, yes, understood...but from www.ddo.com how do you go there?
*Edit: and I really mean it, much better than before. But still not one click.

nice link, though LOTR store isn't of that much interest to me :)
I went to the Market and was confused. It sells Point Bundles, but they aren't the same as the In-game store. The Bonus Points you get from Point Bundles are only from the In-game store. So someone might see an advertisement for "Double Bonus Points" and accidentally go to the Market and end up with no Bonus Points. I don't understand why they do this - why not have Bonus Points in the Market as well?

Well, I think that is understandable. In the Market you buy a code that you can validate today or in one month. So I guess there is some trouble with programming this or so. No idea. Anyway, I can imagine some reason.
Then, I think Turbine should make thinks a bit more clear and consumer friendly. And they are doing it, but I think they can do better.

Does this discount code only work for the Turbine Points or the Expansion packs ?
Because at first I thought the Discount Code was for the DDO store ?
And it doesn't work with items, too - is this assumption correct ?

It's just another channel to distribute their goods through, they both have their own pricing strategy and sale promotions.
Edit:
The prices are close tho.

This has been my complaint about the Store from Day 1. I do not believe they have ever given serious consideration to protecting their players, especially when you consider how many young, underage players use the store and play the game. I think there have been some improvements to the Store which make things a little clearer but I think overall they have, apparently deliberately, put in very few effective protections and information for players when making and tracking spending and purchases.

Huh. I went to the "market" earlier and it showed DDO. Now I go and it shows LotRO.
Apparently there's no way to switch between which storefront you see? No obvious way that I've found, anyway.
Oh, and now it's DDO again. Probably because I visited the link above.

If you are having trouble visiting the DDO store page, you can use the following link: store.turbine.com/ddo (http://store.turbine.com/store/turbine/en_US/list/categoryID.58516100/ThemeID.29252200). To switch to LOTRO visit store.turbine.com/lotro (http://store.turbine.com/store/turbine/en_US/list/categoryID.58516200/ThemeID.28979900).
I also noticed that when I initially went to the page from store.turbine.com I defaulted to the LOTRO page, but after visiting the DDO page it then began defaulting to that page. We'll look into that next week, but for now, putting /ddo or /lotro will get you to the right place.

I can't imagine a reason. "Bonus Points" are just imaginary - it's not like the game has to calculate them. Your code would be for the total number of points. And I can't imagine it would matter when you validate it. They have their money now, doesn't matter to them if you use it a year from now...

There are some things that bug me at the DDO market place:
1. Why am I forced to enter new account information???
Yes it will work if I enter my existing data, but why not have a checkbox to select I am an existing customer, like other pages like Amazon have as well??? Its cumbersome to use like that. even all the other billing data could be taken from there. If one has to write first an dissertation before buying something I wonder who will use it.
2. Huge price difference: If I purchase DDO Turbine points in the market, I have to pay ~23.92 € (incl. 3.12 € tax) for 2500 after applying the DDOMK10 coupon code. So that's about ~25€ without the code for 2500 points.
On the other hand if I buy it in-game I have to pay ~29.99 € but with the bonus points get about 3450 turbine points.
3. While we have direct links at the top to the Compendium, MyDDO, Forums, Account etc. there is no direct link to the web Store.
@Ugumagre: if you BUY the code today, it shouldn't matter when you USE the code at all. If I buy it today and I get a point promo, I give Turbine the money today, as like I do in the in-game store. You are also not forced to use the points ingame as soon as you have them.
So why exactly should I bother with this Webstore at all (Ok, have to admit I am ViP and only care about the points if at all) if the usage of this store is still lacking certain things?

Hey, I am not defending it. I just can imagine that it goes somehow some other ways.
You buy codes (cards in gamestop or Walmart or Webstore of turbine). This codes have a fixed "answer" in the system: 1500 Tp, 5000 TP and so on. And that´s it. And nobody in Turbine will ever care in fixing this so you may get the bonus.
When you buy points directly when you are in the game, it seems to go other way. Or I guess so.
