There's this THING! It's BROKEN! I know other people have experienced it because lately there have been so MANY posts just like this.

But I tried this think like 4 or 5 times, and it didn't work for me. Also I looted this chest on normal at least SEVEN times! SEVEN! And the rare item that's SUPPOSED to be in it... wasn't. I mean it's astronomically incalculably impossible to loot a chest SEVEN times and not get what I was looking for. It's beyond ridiculous.

Have you noticed lately how even the things that seemed to be WAI because you never thought about it are SUDDENLY broken b/c I tried it recently? I mean I must have tried it seven times! SEVEN! What are the chances of rolling a 3, 7, 81, 10, 4, 66, 54??? It's not RANDOM! I've never studied statistics, but I KNOW that on a d100, the chances of that EXACT thing happening is like 1 in 100,000,000,000,000!!! It's like winning the real world lotto a MILLION times! It's so improbable, it's IMPOSSIBLE! Which means it SHOULD NOT have happened!!!

In any case, I'm convinced this thing is broken. I'd drop VIP if I had it, I'm so mad. As soon as this bonus weekend is up, I'm going to stop buying TP! Turbine, you will rue the day you broke this thing I just started caring about!

It's not broken the DEVs just nerfed you specifically for complaining. Everything was fine but then you posted 1 complaint and suddenly everything changed! :D

If you ran the quest seven times within a week you probably hit the ransack timer. This mechanic has been in the game since 2006 and is WAI.

If the chest-looting wasn't within a week then ingore this post. :D

loot nerfing is as real as the morning sun... I have experienced it on more than one occasion and I believe it is due to inflamatory posts in the forums... otherwise how could you explain out of a party of four... 3 lvl 4's rog,clr,wiz and one lvl 5 arty, at the end chest of STK, the lvl 4's pull +2 and +3 weps/armor, 150-400 gold, gems, scrolls and renown but the lvl 5 pulled a MASTERWORK SCEPTER, a small pile of SILVER and thats it!!... and two days prior to this run I had posted on the "new" bi-polar/schizoid behaviour of my intimitank cleric hire, who up until recently had no problems being my nannybot...

Perhaps this thing is only broken because you are not a ViP member. It may be a devious ploy to make the thing broken so that you buy ViP to fix the thing, however be warned as upon fixing this thing, there are a dozen more things awaiting in the background t replace the thing upon it's repair. Perhaps the best thing is to ignore every thing.

I run two accounts - 1 is VIP, the other is Premium. I use the premium for my static group play.

I have noticed that my loot pulls seem to be better on my premium account. On that one I have one toon - he lives in the static group. As a group we are on a pretty good BB streak.

STK end chest - Pre. beat out VIP on pull.

Hi,

Things, like chest drops and end reward lists, do break in this game.

A good example was the recent round of breakages in the Accursed Ascension raid. It took a while before these problems were acknowledged, and I'm not sure if they've been completely fixed yet.

It might be a little fairer (not to mention nicer) to hold off laughing until you know you're playing a game that is working perfectly. And that might not be for quite some time.

OP, care to tell us what this THING that you are talking about is? Ring of Spell Storing? "The" Bloodstone? Firestorm Greaves?

Those rare drops are supposedly random. Personally I have about 6 years into this game with 8 capped characters and so far they haven't even pulled the Ring of Spell Storing.

So, don't expect them to drop in SEVEN times unless you meant 7x70x70 times. ;)

Also, if you do all that in one week, the chest has a ransack mechanism... Give it a break and come back in a couple of weeks. Also, if the loot goddess found you naughty, ... weird things might be happening...

Back in the 80's I played a game of Axis and Allies where I attacked Lenningrad with overwhelming odds - something like 20 dice with Armor against light resistance. I rolled ALL 1s and 2s. I've never played the game since.


What that taught me is that RANDOM NUMBER GENERATORS HAVE STREAKS. just like normal dice.
