Monk/Wizard Build with even lvls

I have a trial version of the toon now, but i feel its lacking.
The toon is currently at 4 wiz/ 3 monk.
Just asking for advice here on how i might best build this type of character.
For the Wiz side i am pushing Sonic & Flame for Elemental damage.
For the Monk side i was thinking of keeping it as unarmed.

I have tried a few variations of ftr/barb./sorc. or just ftr/wiz.
Now exploring the pros & cons of Mink/Wiz.
Any advice is welcome.

If you want do a Monk/ Wiz, go 18 Wiz/ 2 Monk. Still gives you extra feats, Evasion, and some enhancements, but doesn't cripple your casting ability.

I had a WF 11 Wiz/9 Monk, but I don't recommend it. If you want some advice on how to improve your build, though, you should post the details - race, starting stats, level up abilities, feats chosen, skills invested, etc...

Even 12wiz/8mok wouldn't be bad if you looking for a melee build

12wiz gives you wraith form and you have your dot that don't have a save.

Not familar enough with monk to know if 8 monk is better then 7 monk but others could comment on that.
