Any information about when the NDA ends?

I want to read about this stuff here, not search for leaked tidbits on various sinister locations...

I bet they're going to "wipe" the beta forums at the time the NDA ends.

Turbine would like to thank you for buying a pig in a poke.

Now don't tell all the other suckers out there how bad it is or they might not cough up.

at some point, the information turbine is releasing will not be under an NDA.

at that time, i expect you'll at least be able to step in and ask questions such as "how does this work", and those who have been playing beta will likely be able to tell you how it currently works. but really, there's a bunch of beta keys floating around. or were, at least. see if anyone has one they'd be willing to give you, and you're set.

This is how I understand the NDA. Once the expansion is released, of course talking about anything in that live expansion is absolutely acceptable, it is public knowledge.

But, once the expansion is released, features or concepts or gear, etc that were in BETA but not released in the expansion pack, are still under NDA.

Simple example, let's say the fictional dungeon named "boom boom baby" is in the beta, and has named loot called "whicherwhateverisbetter axe of greed". When the servers go live, both the dungeon and the axe are on live server. Yes, you can talk about them.

Now in example two, let's say the fictional feat called "everlastingwhoopingpower" is available to the Horc on beta and stacks with the previously unseen item "extraxoopwhallopping rapier of punishmentism". But, when live servers hit, neither the feat or the item are available. In this case, not supposed to talk about it.

Disclosure: I am not a lawyer. But the above would be a typical interpretation of any normal broiler plate NDA. It is safe to assume if you don't disclose anything that was not actually released in the expansion pack, you are in compliance with the agreement.

Basically same way as anyone else even if you have access..supposed to be 18 yea but have the parental deal. But anyone who breaks NDA is banned from the forums and removed from beta. As far as I understand it..could be wrong. You could even get suspension or game bans as well..do not quote me on this just informing you on what could be. (Due to the fact someone over 18 had to vouch..so your account in general is held responsible)

PS: If you are asking about consequences to an action pre-hand...trust me do the opposite of what you were thinking lol..good rule to live by at your age :)

You are right about once xpack goes live the NDA ends. They have even stated somewhere and no im not looking for it this late..that they will announce when NDA is over

Just because you are VIP, does not mean you automatically get into the Beta, and have access to the beta forums.
Some VIPs may be given access: - in which case they will have to agree to abide by the NDA before actually being granted access.

Just after the first non-beta player sets foot into the new area on 6/25? :D

How does the NDA work with people under 16?

They just text the info to one another using code while Turbine Dad is still in the room.

There was an issue with VIP and beta access. I believe it's been fixed now. Try again.
