guild renown decay / guild ships

can a guild ship purchase a medium or large guild ship, but then decay to the point where their level is not entitled to have that size guild ship? do they lose access to the ship?

on a side question, about medium guild augment slots (on items), is it correct that even though a guild becomes classified as medium size starting at level 26, that you cannot purchase and use medium augment gems until your guild level is 40?

I have read and been told that once you acquire the larger ship it is yours to use even if you fell all the way back to 25 when renown decay ceases (only starts at 26).

Wasn't in the game but knew it was 4x as my guild is finally 36 after 8 months of just me so counting the months to go. Sad thing is that there are so many empty levels where the guilds get nothing. I haven't actually counted the holes but it feels like 75 real levels out of 100 or maybe even less but from what I understand Turbine is revamping all of this and filling in the holes RSN. :)

sorry about that, my memory had said 40, but I had checked the wiki in the middle of writing my post, and meant to write 45 in my post, but of course, I forgot again.

ok thanks for the reassurance about the ship ownership. I do not think I will ever get enough astral diamonds to acquire a guild ship anyway, but good to know for reference.
