Well, not sure why it took me so long but, I've the Epic bug finally.
Considering pulling my cleric out of retirement but most certainly need to respec.
He's got some good gear but for sure not really where he needs to be: most notibly.
Torc / Lorric's Necklace
(Tier III) Conc / Ops goggles
Komor's Belt
Anyway, am looking for some advice on gear and a respec.

wait till the new update gets live.
ddo is going to chance, a good build now might be outdated next month.
Fair enough, and i'm sure we're all gonna respec after the update.
but i'd like to run him now;)
More seriously though, the sooner I tweak him, the better we'll all be (on Salona anyway).

fine jeez, ill help ya. just do not come back here in a month complaining.(i will tell you i told you so).
best thing about the cleric class right now is that it has the ability to splash without losing anything worthwhile, dus obtaining other classes features and abilities.
but before we start making a build, tell us what you want this character to do?
be a healbot? evoker? melee? be a little bit more specific to what you want this character to do?
also helpful would mention your resources available, like 32? 36point build? which races are available to you? tomes? hearts? etc

Sure I will bite.
1st life simple build would be Cleric Caster 2hd. Don't be a healbot. Heal with 17 lvls of Cleric minimum.
CON 14
Wisdom 14 or 18
STR 18 or 14
CHR 8-14
Dex min
Int min
Must haves:
Toughness, Empower Heal, Maximize
Caster then Empower and Quicken and Higheten
Melee then Power Attack and Improved Critical Slash
Radiant Servant 1 and 2
Sup Ardor
Lots of stuff on here to mix and match, but this about matches the size of the OP. Lots on the forums. Even recently.

I like my T4 build on there, but you can get lots of ideas from the forums.

Pretty good advice given above, except I would consider Quicken to be among the must have feats also.

Yes, I agree :) At least for raids and quest like eDA. You really need it for your mass heals/cures. I like it on bursts and resurrection as well. Why for res? Because I can't stand it when a res fails when you need it to not fail.
Thx all - 1st life human, like i mentioned in the subject - 32 build.
healbot i think is pretty good for now.
I'm really more interested per Enhancments.
And yeah Quicken already on the list ;)

not a healbot? think something is lost in MY translation... appreciate an elaboration.

All clerics can heal well, a healbot is just a glorified hireling that does not get paid to keep the party up.
Also most healbot builds focus on a high wisdom skill so it makes sense to build for casting duties and just heal when needed. You can still heal only if you want, but it is nice to be able to throw out some damage in between heals.

So what does a healbot do when they are in a party with talented, well geared players who know how not to get hurt? They stand around and do nothing and is of little use at all. What does a caster cleric do when running with the same party? He tosses out some crowd control/insta kills and helps things along. Even the hated battle cleric is right behind the melee with a healing aura up getting in a few flanking attacks. Both the caster and melee clerics main job is to heal when needed... they just can do something when that isn't needed.

:) Y.
Or then you build something like my Thaz. Built as caster, but with enough str to still do some meleing in the right situations, with the right gear. She does healbot when she has to, casts spells when she's not saving sp, and is meleing with the melees when she can, and wants to save sp.
