Mic problems

Hello people,

for a few days now i have been havin issues with my mic. people keep telling me i make cracking sounds, break up and generally sound distorted. I have been trying with my headset and my build in mic getting the same results. The thing is, that when i use skype or teamspeak my sound is just fine. Does anyone have any idea of how to approach the problem?

Any help would be appreciated.
