And it needs to go something like this:
I'm a system designer, not a content developer.
However, if I did design content...
I'd take all the Abbot puzzles and combine them together. You'd all have to fight him on top of vanishing tiles over the lake of instadeath water, while shooting down incoming meteors, and every now and then the Abbot would light all of the tiles on fire and destroy them, forcing the group to use a pair of ice wands in sequence to create islands for the whole raid to stand on until the tiles regenerate.
Make it happen! *waves hands*

Only if it drops SoS's, Madstones, and Torcs, in addition to the abbot lootz (or lack thereof) :D

Epic Abbot would get an epic spell mantle that would make him immune to spells under level 9. Also, he'd be immune to fire.
Instead of evasion, he'd get improved evasion. His DR would be 100/Blunt+Good+Mithril+Crystal, and he would have 275% fortification to protect against Sunder. His hitpoints on Elite are estimated in the 350k range. On Epic, that would be 3.5 million. At half HP, a dozen rednamed doomspheres are teleported into the fight.
Instead of Encase and the monster summon breeze and the blindness, he would alternate between AOE disjunction, and Inferno. The cooldown for those abilities would be 4 seconds.
Every 5 seconds, a part of the platform drops out, like the end fight of And The Dead Shall Rise. Under the platform is regular abbot death water.
There would still only be the 1 chest. It would have a 95% chance to drop end reward items from the Delera's series, except these would all be BtC instead of BtA. The other 4% would be existing Abbot base items, and the remaining 1% would be a shard, seal, or scroll to epic the base items. No scrolls would drop from monster kills. Drops would be biased heavily towards the Deific Diadem, which when epic'd would gain Int +7 (current wis bonus would be unchanged) and a colorless slot.

Also you should have to Reflag Litany every time you run Epic Abbot.
And by reflag...I mean new sigil and all 4 sides of Litany each time.
Can't have people spamming this raid.

Abbott loot has already had an upgrade. Time to give the same consideration to titan gear.
