I am just curious as to what everyone else has found and feels about the scroll drops since the patch. To me it just doesnt feel right. I have ran alot of epics since the update and ive found that either no scrolls drop at all, which ive had most of the time. Or the exact oposite where 4 or 5 scrolls drop within the space of 100 kills.
Please dont mistake this for a moaning post because im not getting what i need. I personaly am not fussed as i dont need any scrolls. But if everyone else is experiancing the same, maybe things arnt working exactly as intended still.

I heard they have changed the mechanics but scrolls do drop now, though me and my guildie still have not get any even after 200+ solo kills but DEVs have solved the problem.

A guildie has been farming eChrono for scrolls when he gets home from work, for 2-3 hours. He's had over 500 kills in 2 evenings and recieved exactly 0 scrolls. Another guildie went in on the first day of the fix and had 2 scrolls in 30 kills. I've been in there and 100 kills later, 0 scrolls.

We have too little statistical sample post patch to say anything about drop rates, we can just say they are dropping again.
My, super small, numbers are:
eChrono 1178 kills 8 scrolls
Red Fens 201 kills 1 scroll
VoN 5 100 kills 0 scrolls
lord of dust 200ish kills 0 scrolls
eDA 300 kills 0 scrolls (who knows mb it changed :P)

Yes they are back to being as annoyingly random as ever.
solo farming red ferns first 4 kills 2 scrolls. 300 kills later nada.
Chrono first 30 kills 3 scrolls 200 kills later nothing, go in again first kill 1 scroll 60+ kills later nothing I call it a night and check the forums before I log.
Oh and only 2 valuable scrolls gloves of the claw, and a env cloak scroll, many would say I was pretty dang lucky I suppose.
Just leveled my first scroll farming toon, verdict scroll farming is mindnumbingly boring and anti social. I have said this a million times but I hate the mechanic where people are *punished* for grouping because of the scroll drops. I don't want to see solo scroll farming made unviable but I don't like how you can be disadvantaged by being in a group so much.

I think this is where the 20th Run mechanic would be handy: Scrolls for a specific pack.
This way, folks are incentivized to complete the quest rather than just farm it, bringing a party back into focus rather than building up a mega powerful character to solo scroll farm.
Just replace the standard loot list with a complete list of single scrolls from the pack on the completion of its major quest, e.g. 20 completions of eVoN 5, 20 of eDeeps, 20 of UBig Top, etc. The reason I want to exclude the Raid is because it's where the Shards drop. Let's not put all the reward into one instance. Thus, ADQ1 would be the Sands one and the rest would follow suit. Provided it's a Party instance or a Raid instance without an Epic Raid Boss, it would be the best alternative to putting a 20th completion Complete Scroll List on every instance, over-rewarding those that ran the entire chain 20 times.

Ran a few VON5 runs, ~30 kills per run. 1 scroll per 2-3 runs.

I've been solo farming since the patch and its yielded:
eChrono: ~500 kills, 0 scrolls
eDust: ~500 kills, 1 scroll
eStand + eClaw: ~800 kills, 3 scrolls
ePartycrasher: ~200 kills, 0 scrolls
@ OP, yeah something's off. Drop rates were bad before scrolls went on vacation, but they were never this bad. (Of course, we could all be getting bad luck and we'll get bombarded with scrolls sometime in 2017 :/ )

They'd have to completely revamp the quest system, though, to allow the end rewards / turn ins to track the difficulty of the completion. Currently completion counts and end reward lists don't care if you ran it on casual or epic as long as you completed.

They seem to be back to normal as far as I can tell.

Is it true that the chance for scrolls scales with number of people in party?
I know I've been in two echrono runs with about 5 scrolls dropped total and that's definitely not 500 kills. Either that or just luck as usual.

Not that I'm aware of. The assumed drop rate of scrolls was estimated at roughly 1 scroll per 100 kills, but they've always been infuriatingly random. I'm guessing you had two very lucky runs. Granted, its only been 2 days since scrolls started dropping again, so its hard to judge at this point.

No, or at least there was never a statistical evidence about a correlation between number of players and scroll drop chance.
Bear in mind that with an estimate of 1 scroll per 100 kills you need, at the *very* least, a sample sice of 10k kills to even start making educated guess that will still have little statistical meaning.

It's 1 in 100, and been tested.
Don't say you did 200 kills and no scrolls=broken droprate.
Maybe 2000kills and no scrolls.
Or 15 scrolls in 100 kills.
With 1 in 100 droprate you will see 2-3 scrolls sometimes drop in a few minutes, and you will also go 500-1000+ kills without seeing a single one.
I may be wrong, but I thought the mechanic was supposed to be that every single kill in an epic quest (one that drops scrolls) had a 1% chance to drop a scroll for the party, and then which party member gets it is random. So you have more chances to get a scroll from a kill soloing than grouping.
It is not the same as to say (especially with DDO RNG) that 1% of kills drop a scroll (note: in true random environement and given enough kills they should tend to be the same).

1) Echrono - 1 run = 3 scrolls ( thats a bit high) but I have got 5 off one run before
2) Evon3 - 1 run = 2 scrolls ( about right)
3) House K - 300 kills = 3 scrolls ( again about right)
Seems same to me , but really not enough time has passed to make any statistical judgment.
Ive done almost 500 kills in house K before a scroll dropped, so i'm not calling shenanigans ( changes to drop rate) until alot more info has been in.

Here's another datapoint in case anyone cares
Sands, 208 kills, 5 scrolls.

Haven't been keeping a precise kill count but will from now on...
What I do know is I've done 3 x BoB, 3x TTT, 3 x snitch, 1 x big top, 1 x partycrashers..
TOTAL scroll drops = 3 (zero for me personally)
This has to be a lot lower than 1 per 100
