What do the new pets look like? I see colors mentioned but I do not see any pictures or any view now type of dealios. I also can't tell if they are BtC or BtA either.

Pets arent bound physically to anything. They're unlocked on all your toons once purchased. (I assume that they work the same way MotU ones work)
The colors they have are:

Kobold: Red, Green, Blue

Cranium Rat: Gray, Black , Purple.

The MotU preorder pets are also in this manner: Unlocked on all toons you have, and all toons you will make in the future.

The skin color changes... Imagine the standard pink colored kobold as red, the blue is pale/cyan color and green is pale green.

Rat is Dark purple with Orange eyes, black is with yellow eyes I believe, and gray is your standard color of a rat, with brains oozing out of their head.

Well, they are unlocked per server. I am not sure if the ddostore ones are per server or account-wide. They should be account wide, like most ddostore stuff (that is not character-specific).

Do you know what they do for their tricks?

Talk - Random gibberish noise you can hear from mining challenges while they run.
Play Dead - Death animation.
Dejected - Stands there with his head down, as when mobs beat on them in mining challenges.
Levitate - Sometimes regular shamans do that if I recall correctly, they... levitate for a bit.

These ones are free. You can buy:
- Dance
- Do Tail-Stands
- Fall Down
- Sleep

But I don't have them, so I can't describe how they look. No collars or anything else come with the kobold.

Just did a little bit of testing... the store bought pets are available to every character on the server you purchased them on, including newly-created characters, but are NOT available on other servers. So if you want a kobold on every server, you'll have to buy a kobold on every server... ;)

As for the tricks, I only purchased 'dance' for my kobold. He capers on the spot for a minute in a very cute fashion. :)

Also, for the person that asked if they are BtA or whatever... when you purchase, you get an ownership certificate that can (apparently, not tried it) be given to someone else. Once you activate the certificate, the pet goes into your stable and is all yours. So if you want to buy one for a friend you can, just don't use the ticket first!

After this thread (maybe because of it) was posted with those pictures I logged in and saw a red and blue one (looks sort of grayish to me) and just like I thought from those pictures they are so tiny. I have yet to see them do any tricks though.

So, when it (http://www.ddo.com/ddostorecomingsoon) says you can teach Cranium Rat "Attack", is this a real attack with damage or an animation of a bite or some such that does nothing?
