Depends, caster: Orchard, melee: the solo quest in dreaming dark pack (raiding the giant's vault?)

If you can handle it, Menechtarun is a neat farm spot for early-high levels, especially if you have Haste/Dimension Door. Just running around, checking on all the undead rares, then re-entering. Each chest loot should net you around 1.3k pp at vendors.

Farming "Adamantine Ore" from A Relic of a Sovereign Past Quest is not real hard 15 pieces averages about 35k in the AH on Thelanis..
Sleeps :D :) :D

Tor - Sell your scales
Orchard - Sell Tome Pages / Tapestry Shreds / Shield Fragments
If your character is truly awful, Tangleroot runs part 7 or 9 farming for Fragrant Drowshoods is okay plat, if tedious.

lol all those grind is basically what make me so poor.. i mean when i loot scale i made dragon armor for my alt account..when i got equipment i destroy them to essence for my crafting toon.. when i got taps i give them to my alt for mino's legens... sigh..
gonna try the ore or tangleroot later today, thx for the advice.
p.s. am so poor that i even swap one of my feat into eschew material =P hopefully it will save me tiny bit of pp.

Just run the raids with high value unbound components.
Epic VON6, and Shroud and LOB both on the highest difficulties you can complete without mana pots. (For most groups that's Hard Shroud and Normal LOB).
Add epic Devil Assault if you can handle it, all-optionals runs of Sins of Attrition on Normal otherwise.
If you aren't high enough level to manage those (or feel you are undergeared for them) - focus on fixing that first. Plat will come.

Shroud on every character that you possibly can as often as you can. If you sell Large ingredients, you'll get more money from the Shroud than from any other income source in the game except for extremely lucky scroll farming.
This is especially true if you run Shroud on Hard.
After that, I might consider a couple of Mindsunder and/or Dreaming Dark runs on Normal or Elite (depending on whether you solo or run with a nice group).
You'll pick up some nice vendor trash, possibly an AH-able weapon or two and you'll have a shot at some nice end rewards. Ioun Stones still sell for a surprisingly decent amount of money on the AH considering how easy it is to get them now.
Dreaming dark with a group for nice mindless runs. Each run is quick and the ioun stones sell for a good amount. I often end up with +2 tomes as well. You should be doing shroud on your toons everytime it comes up as well. Plenty of money to be made there.

Let me get this straight: You are high enough level to run Tor 20 times, yet...
p.s. am so poor that i even swap one of my feat into eschew material =P hopefully it will save me tiny bit of pp.
OMG. How is this possible? Repair bill from ONE Tor run should be enough to keep you in materials for a month.
I did take Eschew Materials on my bard, but that's because he keeps running out of inventory space.
BTW, when I was poor I farmed Relic of Soverign Host. No need to complete the quest, just hit every ore node on the way to Galrias and recall. I find it less tedious than Tangleroot, in part because you do not rely on chance -- there are always 15 ore scattered through the dungeon.

Sins of Attrition if blue bar - high lvl loot + boot and shroud ingredients
If wizard - Souls stones - the ones for the adamantine ritual sell well

like others said...best way to make money is to have a handful of toons at cap and keep their shroud timers on constantly.. Selling every small/med/large ingred each run can give you anywhere from 40k (if no large ingreds drop) to 500k plat (if you are lucky enough to get a couple large devil scales). Plus you get another 12k-20k from selling chest trash to vendors. I think an average of 100k plat per run is reasonable to expect if you sell everything.
Right now I have one toon that's running the shroud...almost have another ready for shroud, can't wait I'll be able to stop being so poor.

Just a few pointers for you if you are suign more plat to farm slayer areas than you make:
1: DONT USE YOUR EXPENDABLE RESOURCES (pots,scrolls/ especially those that have high money value, its more lucrative to go find a clikkie or three and only spend the money once!)
2: NEVER run loot runs on the outscirts of the slayer areas, finda an easy pattern for you, and run it till your eyes bleed.
My "loot" cycle:
lev 20 sorc/wis/fvs/ranger/artie.. well hell just about anything
start,Vale, then orchard, then desert, repeat till I cant take it anymore.
still better money in raiding and knowing how to conserve your resources/knowing how to play your toon correctly.

Each time I TR, I always do the rares and 1500 slayer (between the rares) in the Orchard. Works fine with melee + healing hireling or caster/healer.
It just takes a couple of hours and usually nets on average about 50 taps and 5 tome pages. On the AH it usually gives about 600-1000 k plat on Cannith. It's quick and easy money, and keeps it manageable covering pot and scroll usage for each new life.

And if you can't wait for Shroud timer, run Sins of Attrition however many times you need.

keep on timer for shroud.
Run mindsunder on casual for a few quick runs.

Raiding the Giant's Vault: 5 chests in 5-6 minutes if you practice

Raiding the giants vault is great for high level vendor trash.
Honestly, though, it took me more like 15-20 minutes on a melee.
And if your mario skills aren't perfect you're going to have to fight going crazy until you learn not to slip up.
But it is like 5-8 chests....

Gianthold has decent pp value loot. Farm Wiz-King for Hand of Tombs and put it in the auction house for slightly less than going rate (about 500k pp)

Good luck with earning plat hunting for Blood stone and spell storing ring. :p It might be months, or even years before you pull one of them... if you're unlucky. For me it took 5 months having three toons on constant ransack before I pulled my first Blood stone... although I also pulled two rings during this period.
Most people earn money in other ways in order to buy these two items on the AH.
The other advice is good.

It shouldn't take that long. You can just run past most of the mobs. You only need to kill the named mobs and you're good.
It's always 5 chests. There are 3 random ones, but 2 of them always spawn, plus the three at the end.
If your Mario skills aren't up to snuff, it will take you a while, though.

I thought plat farmers had been banned from the game.
Plat farmers (or gold farmers) are players who accumulate in-game currency and sell it to other players for real-world money. This is what is not allowed in DDO.
Farming plat (or scales or anything else) is running the same quest or objective over and over, until your eyes bleed, you vomit uncontrollably, your spouse and children leave you alone for days on end without you noticing, or you turn in despair to a life of drinking and debauchery. Sometimes you might even get what you are looking for (see: Blood Stone and/or Spell Storing Ring). =8-)=

I believe the type of plat farmers you are referring to are the ones that sell their pp for hard cash on the internet. We used to have a lot of spamming where a farmer would put stuff in the trade chat got to suchandsuch.com to but pp. That is against the rules.
This pp farming is where you farm the pp for your own use. Which is legal.

lol ur not supposed to make stuff with em. Supposed to suck the cash from other people that want to make em.

mm idk. Cause latly ive been seeing a trend where people say "hey man, I got these epic scrolls and 127 large scales and 32 FRD's and i'll give em to you for a small donation of points in the store."
I mean it's technically RMTing. Not that turbine would care cause hell it's going into the store.

This pp farming is where you farm the pp for your own use. Which is legal. It might be legal, but Xen'drik just has the wrong soil for it. While Shavarath has better soil, the vermin are tough to keep away. As when I put some scaredevils out they pulled a "Wizard of Oz" on me and wandered off. Found all three of them up by the gate to the Tower of Despair playing with the vermin they were supposed to be keeping out of my plat fields.
