Anthem items and Bard Past Life feat?

Has anyone tried this? I TR'd my Haggle/Cannith Crafter from bard into artificer for the crafting bonus, and blew a feat on the bard past life purely for that +1 to skills.

Of course the 3 Inspires you get with it don't hurt, but has anyone tried wearing an Anthem item to see if they regenerate like a true bard? If so that'd be pretty awesome.

would they really be noticeably better than getting a good hope clicky?
