improved sunder question?

Does improved sunder lower fort save on every sucessful melee attack or do you have to pass there fort save first to get his affect. Was thinking improved sunder combined with stunning blow could be kind of nice. Also it says it stacks up to 5 times. Does that mean once you sunder them and every successful swing after that or every time you sunder after cooldown

The stacking -3 Fort Save is only applied on each Improved Sunder activation, not every melee attack. It can stack up to -15 Fort Save by reapplying Improved Sunder.

Ok so to get the -3 fort save you have to land the sunder in first place which means bypassinf their fortitude in first place. That kind of stinks. Alright cool tks for info

No, Every time you use Imp Sunder it applies a debuff called Trauma. This lands regardless of whether the Sunder was succesful, and causes a -3 to Fort Saves. This effect can be stacked up to 5 times for a total of -15 to Fort Saves. If the stack is already at the maximum of 5 and you reapply, it simply resets the counter.
