I really like that one quest in the game. I don't remember the name, but you'll probably recognize it from the description.
It's the one where there's a room with a door that you can't get through, but there are two lights next to the door. You have to go down one side passage, and at the end there's a way to turn on one of the lights. Then you come back to the middle, go down an opposite side passage and turn on the other light. Only then can you come back and go through the main door. I really like that.
Do you have a favorite quest like that?

That quest is ok.
My favorite is the one where you have to fight those things underground and run around a lot.
And you have to do the thing with the thing for thing, or you won't get that thing at the end.
Friggin LOVE that quest. ;)

I like the one where you have to kill all the stuff in the room, then the door magically opens.

Those are good, but the best is the one where you go into that room and fight those guys and then you go into a room after that and fight more guys. You keep doing this until you get to the end where there is a room with more guys to fight. One of those has his name in red.
That is the best quest

Totally unexpected. I love that quest.

Obviously, you're new at this.
The absolute BEST quest in the game is that one where you have to do things.

I assume the OP is being serious. I think the quest you're referring to is Missing in Action, lvl 2 quest in the Marketplace.

I like that quest with the undead where you have to do the same thing 3 to 12 times in a dungeon that has the 3 to 12 sections (where you do the same thing 3 to 12 times) all look exactly the same.
It was so good, Turbine decided to do it 15 times and call it the necropolis.

It was not easy, but I figured out a quest that meets *none* of the requirements listed above. It's a quest where you don't pike at the entrance, AND you don't do "things" (someone else does, but you don't). You don't turn on lights to open a door. You don't run around a lot. You don't kill stuff to open a door. The final encounter does not feature a red named boss. You do not fight your way through roomfulls of mobs. There is no empty hallway with a trap that goes off. The dungeon is not full of undead, nor does it repeat a template. You can't get ransack twice. And of course, there is no chest reward at the end (it's at the entrance).
A fabulous prize to anyone who can name this extremely non-generic quest.

My favourite is that quest, umm can't think of the name now, where you have a bunch of totally unrelated monsters (like two oozes, one demon, a bunch of zombies and a sprinkle of hobgoblins) hanging out in a hallway, but totally frozen (by some evil wizard I imagine) staring at each other (or sometimes a wall) forever, and then when you get close by they all wake up from their stasis and attack you relentlessly.

Forgotten Caverns. Ok, so it's not a "room", but you have to throw two levers to open the gate with the gems, so it qualifies :p
(And I really like that one quest where you run it 150 times for that great item you want, but you can never get it unless it drops for a character who doesn't need it, and then you have to roll a 100 to win it because the OTHER character who can't use it rolls a 99! THAT quest is the best!)

Nope, totally tongue in cheek, sorry. The joke being that there are at least 20 quests that fit that description.
Oh -- I just thought of another quest I really like! It's the one where that guy lets you into his house, and then you get bonus points for smashing up all of his stuff. That's awesome.

The quest you are describing is The Sacred Helm. It's in the Marketplace Steam Tunnels and is part of the STK pack.
My favorite is Tangleroot Part 6 where you spin the wheels to unlock the force field so you can kill the hobgoblin witch doctor then pick up his key (and underwater breathing pots) and backtrack to the underwater gate and swim to fight the three earth elementals and get the chest with a chance at a Sunblade (which I've not pulled in 5 years of gaming).

Uh, Sunblades (along with a number of other items, full list here (http://ddowiki.com/page/Named_chest_loot#Unique_Items_with_Non-Unique_Locations)) can drop in pretty much any level appropriate chest in the game, completely at random. I pulled mine from an optional side chest in Dead Predators on elite

I prefer that quest where you have to open the doors with levers, then pull levers and/or turn valves to get the crystals to light up so you can open the gate/door that leads to a lever that turns on a crystal on another door. You have to kill the monsters or you get a dungeon alert. Then you have to kill more monsters in other places, and make sure the monsters don't respawn and kill the NPC. Then you have to avoid the traps and do the same things again and again and...
That quest is fun!

Could be. I thought maybe the one in House P...The Church and the Cult? It has 2 hallways with levers at the ends, too, doesn't it?
I like the one where it take place in a house or some other dwelling that someone supposedly lives in, and the structure is completely bigger on the inside - i.e. Bigger than Marketplace itself (and don't tell me it is all underground - how many levels of underground can there be) and each home is somehow a linear maze filled with traps as if the owner was OK with it taking 10 minutes to get from one end of his home to the other and accidentally dying if he comes home one night drunk and forgets to disable a trap and even though the owner could have just knocked some holes in the wall and made it a decent layout, they never do and there is no bedroom or bathroom or kitchen in the entire house to be found.

Yeah.... Hold for Reinforcements.
I'm surprised Turbine hasn't decided that the NEW definition of an epic quest is to simply add "Protect Coyle" into each quest requirement. If you can run any quest on max difficulty while protecting Coyle, you've done something pretty epic imo.
Galeria

OMG, three runs of Hold for Reinforcements yesterday and each time at 2-3 minutes left, freaking Coyle stands up in the middle of a mob and gets two-shotted despite being at the center of a series of dancing balls with firewalls around him at a safe distance.
Time totally wasted.
Sorry, being tracked off-topic. It's Fomori's fault though...

When you go in with players that have done the quest before and everyone talks how their character is the bestest and they all die, but my character is still alive so I kill everything and get their stones.
I then tell them it is a ways to get to the rez shrine as I will have to eliminate about 30 more of the same guys that just wiped them and I will go slow so I don't get myself squished.
Then they drop group or go link dead.

Wild stab in the dark here...
Level 3 Quests
Tangleroot chapters 1 and 2:
Assault on Splinterskull
Rescue the Prisoners
You open a door, fight some hobgoblins and wolves and throw a lever. Do that on the east and west side of the gate.
Repeat for part 2.
Was that the one you meant, OP?
----------------
My favorite quest is the one where you avoid aggro in your house so you can play DDO for more than 20 minutes without incessant *****ing and interruptions that string on for 30 minute periods while your group kicks you.
