I am wondering if Turbine have any plans to finally make MyDDO work properly?

Come on Draga, you know better. :D

First they need to fix the signature so that I can put back Flav in it.
Then they need to fix the lottery so that you get your rewards when you win
Then they need to fix the character log page that cannot be seen
Then they need to fix the characters not updating
Then they need to fix the guild rosters not updating
Then they need to fix...

the list can go on and on and on...

I am not sure if there is anything lower on their priority list. I don't think anyone is dedicated to it.

Since Mondays update all external raid timer apps / spreadsheets which are MYDDO synced are dead in the water.....

Sad but true.

MYDDO being in beta still is one thing, this has never occured yet that raid timer syncs with apps go bye bye........

Pass the word.

I guess I was just hoping that someone from Turbine would post something.

And for the record, I still believe in Santa Claus. And the toothfairy. At the venerable age of 42 :D

MyDDO is like giving me and 6.4 billion other people a personal plexiglass box right in the middle of your home that can move with you as the occupant watches you do any and every thing.

Bathing? Never alone again.

Waking up from a long night? Never alone again.

Want to be alone? The eyes are always watching, always staring.

Someone wants info on you? They just ask the occupant.

Of course, this is how Google Search History and Facebook work too, so some of you are used to zero privacy.

I kinda wish they'd just remove it altogether especially since it doesn't even work right. Although I admit my views on MyDDo are biased from early days on Orien when it was used as a reason to keep people outta groups for not having the right stats, eq, or whatever without every waiting to see if they were a good player or not.

I know I abandoned it within 12 hours of it being opened up for public use, and haven't looked back since.

(Except to look at a few of my own characters to ensure my efforts at thwarting MyDDO's character logging behaviours were effective.)

I wish it worked properly.

I don't mind... what do I care if someone sees my toon? I made the decisions I made and I'm sticking by them. Maybe one day I'll have a chat or an event that makes me improve something or change something, but meanwhile... the toon is what it it because I thought it best. A couple of times myddo got me declined... meh, no hard feelings, in fact one of those cases saved me from my own newbness and gave me an idea on what to work on next as a priority: my HP.
The only time someone was rude to me about my stats it wasn't from my DDO, just some dude laughing at my HP while in group. He died and rage-quit the raid and I took some evil evil pleasure in that :P.

Oh you can see what grindy grind raid or quest I did last? I care so much, not.
You can see my gimp bank toons? Actually you can't, you have the option to not link toons to your account by making them "private".

Compared to other communities that require you to put your real name and ban you when you don't... myDDO is not on my top list of websites that hurt my privacy.

Well,

as it is now chances are high that you can inspect a first life toon, but not a TR. Sometimes you even can't inspect a first life toon (even one that isn't shelved for several months).
Updates occurr at random times. Sometimes it looks like when you log out with a character MyDDO would update that specific character. Sometimes it doesn't (even after a considerable time of waiting).

Dunno. If Turbine doesn't want to maintain this functionality then it would be cheaper to shut it down. They don't need to dedicate web servers for that purpose. They could remove some no longer required code (to access some game data by a web service). They could have the staff that maintains this functionality have work on something else.

If you try to ride a dead horse...

My.DDO is in BETA and not abandoned ... just like guild related material has not been abandoned by Turbine after it's initial fan-fared release ... :D

If not, it should be. the only useful thing about it are the lotteries and not everyone can use them.
