Well the title says it all, I'm not planning on paying to post my builds so is there a section where it is "common" to post your builds as a free player?

Thanks in advance,

Xathier

normally you wouldnt post a build here, but i seriously dont think anyone would complain if a f2p person posted a build here in general discussion for review/advice/reference.

ive seen f2p people post non-gen discussion stuff here, and the community is pretty ok with it, and the devs are pretty chill about what gets posted in gen discussion.

New player advise and guidance generally if you are looking for feedback.

Else, I don't know, your facebook page maybe? If you are just looking for recognition of your uberness as you have to pay for that perk here.

ummmm. the forums are free.

you dont have to spend a dime to post anywhere on them

you can be f2p, premium, or vip, doesnt matter

the forums are open to all DDO players

Also, I notice the OP has a post count of 1. This adds even further restrictions until 20 or so posts as a means of cutting down on free account spam/advertisements.

ah, tell you what, post your build here, report it and type a message like 'this is in the wrong forum' or something, ill do it too if i see it, and more than likely a dev will put it in the correct place. you'll be able to read feedback but wont be able to post though.

honestly though i and quite a bit others dont mind f2p'ers throwing slightly off topic posts in the free discussion forums, often the players posting here are new and we want them to think we're friendly and stuff.

you know.

So they're vulnerable once they come for advice.

This is good as, strangely, the off topic section is one of the restricted ones.

this stikes me as odd, considering several years ago (2010), as a FREE player, i was able to post anywhere i wanted (posted several builds, questions, and other such things)

not bein argumentative here, but i would like to know how i did that if i was free, and the forums arent?

Frankly, the only theory I have as to how they decided which should or should not be restricted involves a blindfold and a dart board though.

I'm fairly certain free players can post here (http://forums.ddo.com/forumdisplay.php?f=21). Use the subforums for more specific threads and the general Classes forum for miscellaneous threads with questions or comments about classes in general.

It might be a post count issue if the OP can't and that's easily remedied by replying to a few posts here.

they really dont care what you post in general discussion on these forums......I once posted a thread titled "Pew-pew-pew-pew" Where all I said was pew over and over again then "Arties FTW" from when I first got the class, these arent the SWTOR discussion forums where you cant post anything not game related at all. Some guy found this article about a mask that would charge your phone by you breathing into it, and the devs immediately closed the thread....

Ah thanks, I guess I'll just reply to some posts 'till I hit 20. The reason I have 1 post is because I had some issues logging in to the forums because I thought I could use my Turbine login for the forums.
