well, this build should be able to heal endgame content and have:
1) great survivability,
2) soloing capability and
3) high DC (but not for epics except stunning blow (?) )

so, 36 point build, wizard past life is VERY required ( for +2 spelpen and +1 DC feat)

+2 tome on each stat except int.
race: Human for extra feat and extra skill point.
all level ups into wisdom including enhancements
class: Cleric 18 Monk 2 ( monk level on level 2 and 13 )

stats:
str: 14
dex: 15
con: 14
int:8
wis:18
cha:8

feats:
level 1- toughnes
human bonus 1: empower heal
level2 monk bonus: two weapon fighting
level3: maximize
level6: past life wizard ( or sf:necro if you dont have wizzy...)
level9: improved 2 weapon fighting
level12: quicken spell
level13 monk bonus: stunning fist
level 15: greater 2 weapon fighting
level18: heighten spell.

this build should be able to melee ( divine power and divine favour on) as any clonk but with high DC stunning fist.
heal engame ( mass heal +quicken and nice mana pool)
instakill non epic content ( max wisdom...) and heighten

so , I probably forgot something very crucial to the build that turn it into ****... but this is why i have the forum,

you will probably find it and point it out... :)

thanx

why no int tome? you said human for extra skill points, so eat +2 int at lvl 7 for 1 more extra each level.

I think there's a lack of spell penetration also.

Solid build. I would personally drop GTWF for spell penetration, assuming one wizard past life. If no wizard past lives, I'd drop ITWF and pick up Greater Spell Penetration too (maybe do that anyway).

No int tome because it is not essential to the build, other tomes are required, dex for ITWF, str/con/wis- the most needed attributes and charisma for turns. while int is only nice to have for few more skill points.

I understand that there is a lack of spel pen, thats why wizzy past life is really needed.

isnt the cost is too high?
without GTWF the offhand attacks will hit 60% of the time instead of 80%, that is alot...
with no ITWF and GTWF, it is better to take power attack and run with staves.
which is also a viable easier build ( drop dex, increase strenth)

I understand that TWF line is important for monk for unarmed combat and for wraps offhand procs. ( stunning etc)

I would take MNK at level 1 for a lot more skill points.

Looks solid though. Not really different than the standard Clonk though.

if you take monk first, you get more skillpoints, but cant take the empower heal feat until level 3.

what is a standard clonk build?

most clonk builds i have seen ( and i searched the forums alot) are 17/3 who dump wisdom for str.
and do melee+ healing only.

My take on Clonks is thus.

They can do brilliantly two things such as melee/heals or heals/offensive casting or maybe heals/bladebarrier spec.

However most of the builds i see try and do three things at once and you just cant get away with that at end game .

Also with Clonks i'm a bit suspicious about the SP pool. 2000 ish is where you are going to be if its pretty well built (can get as high as 2100 but 2k is ok) and i'm not convinced that is enough to heal and dot/instakill/bb.

I'd use a FVS if that was my goal. So for my Clonk i gave up on offensive spellcasting went for full heal spec and the Twf line. With the idea of entering combat and healing from melee. This allows you to take your radiance with you and it is highly effective. especially in long end fights like E Von 6. Dps is ok, 80 odd per swing (i dont want aggro thanks) spamming mass cures with quicken when needed. Ac is good enough to matter (apart from Epic) and 600 hit points is enough to mix it pretty much anywhere. Evasion and a reflex save in the low forties is good for most of the content just don't try standing in front of Velah to much

Ok I'll try to remember. At work atm

Full healing line enhancements inc Radiant servant

Hobbit saving throw bonus enhancements

Toughness enhancements.

Feats. Twf/Itwf/Gtwf, weapons finesse. Toughness,Emp Heal,Quicken.

However 3rd TR going to ditch Wf cos i can get str upto 32 so i will have spare feat.

Ive gone with Kama's and usually use lit 11 or min 11. 1 has +3 exep Wis on it.

Would love a great Epic Kama to come out.

SP2105 HP605 Ac 70 ish. Abashai set (3,boots,glove,cloak) , Redscale Robe, E Pouch of Jerky, E Shining Crest (i know comedy mask is better). Kyosho's set. 1 other TOD ring, Conc Opp/ Sp and Lit11/HP GS items.

I like the Kama's even tho i know the stunner/handwrap combo is great. I do have a Holy Burst TOD ring and the Mabar wraps which make me a whole can of undead whoopass.

I went the 18/2 route. I know also that 17/3 makes a fantastic soloist. I wanted however to be a front line healer with an extra string to my bow which didnt detract from my healing ability. So the Dps makes up for no offensive spellcasting and bringing Radiance into melee makes for even more effective healing. Ive never died in combat (apart from party wipes where i was last man standing) and i'm very fond of the The Clonk Build.

The only thing i would say about the Clonk is it's about 50 different builds under one heading such is the scope of possibilities

Do you think it will be harder to survive next life when you swap to a strength build?
I think I'm TRing my paladin into a str clonk 17/3 split.

No Daniel because i'm keeping my Dex the same. My last Tr had UMD built into it and i cant say it has been a great success.

So will take the starting Cha down by 5. Take the extra 2pts for going 36pt build and pile all into Str
