Cake Djinni was selfish

He took my cake on one character without giving me my tome. My character Rainlin on the Cannith server wanted a Charisma tome. Worked fine on all my other characters, though.

Having multiple players click on a Sixth Birthday Cake Djinni can cause issues with delivering the birthday items. Players should use their Djinni in a private area.

I'm sure there are other questions folks have about this cake-related issue, but since it's still early in our investigation, I don't have much more to add at the moment. We'll provide more information when we can. Thanks!

Happened again with another character on another server. I went to the top of a building with nobody else around, and no tome. Both times was in the Marketplace, so that seems to be a troublespot.

Any chance to get replacement cake?

That stinks. The marketplace would not qualify as a private instance, since there are other toons in the market, even if they are not near you. I'd try it in a quest.

I thought the issue was other people clicking on your djinni, so I went out of the way. Figured no matter where I go, someone else could be there so I just went away from people.

Someone was complaining in general chat that using the cake in a quest also bugged out. Don't know if it was a rumor or if someone was with them, etc. Smart choice is to wait until the issues are resolved, I guess.

I suppose one could try a wilderness area like Searing Heights. They are private but not necessarily quests. I do think I will wait though. I don't need anything the cake gives out right away anyways.

Its ambiguous, but I read it as people clicking on a jin at the same time as yo in the same instance was causing issues.

Gotta say the bug hit me to...didn't know what to do with the cake so I hit a djinn I saw in the market place near someone else. Turned it in for my tome and nada.

Probably my own **** fault for not reading the instructions - but i didn't see anything at a glance....knew I was looking for a Djinn - saw one and hit it the barter window is self explanatory so I thought I was all good until I got ska***** in return.

I've gotten the bug once, out of 5 cakes I've traded in so far.
It was a Charisma Tome, and it was in the Marketplace.

Jerk of a Djinni Dine-n'-dashed with my cake, leaving me Tome-less.

I got 3 con tomes, a str tome, and the Pork Barrels. All but 2 of which were collected in the Marketplace.

Happened to me too, Tirain on Cannith. Did invoke the djinni on guild ship, no other djinnis there (at least on ours), no other guildies, wanted tome and got nothing at all. :-(

The stupid djin ate my cake, but didn't give me my +2 Con tome. I was alone in a Pub at the time. Cannith server, character Sarra Sneaks.

Same just happened to my Sorcerer, Tempestya on Argo... Gave the cake for a Con Tome, and the cake is gone with no Tome...

Question... I realize this is a known issue, but I'm wondering if I should report it anyway, just so it's known that this particular toon is having said problem in case they come up with a solution?

Edit: Just to be a bit more specific... I had not yet read the private area suggestion, so I was in a public area, but I was totally alone with no one around to click the Djinni... And I was in the exact same spot that I had previously used it successfully for two other toons.

If you're actively investigating this issue, why is in-game support responding to tickets saying that it's not a known issue and there's nothing they can do? Those sort of responses are just insulting. It IS a known issue, and the easiest thing to do would be to return the cake.

However, if they don't want to do anything, because they can't confirm who is telling the truth, they should at least respond that it's currently being investigated and refer people to the forums to report.

Arisan on cannith . My bug is weird. I took the 25 pots in the marketplace. Pretty sure nobody around. I got only 1 pot.

The weird thing is, I have 76 pots from before when I bought the pots on sale from over a year ago. 76 + 25 = 101... My stack of 76 stayed at 76 and I had a new stack of just one. Was this a stacking problem?

Should we make a ticket? I reported a bug for BOTH times it happened to me. I tried submitting a ticket the first time also, but the ticket was closed and the response was basically "this is not a known issue; go here to submit a bug report." Just curious, I see other people being advised to make tickets ...

And, we will be getting our 24 missing pots out of the 25 when?

the djinni Seems to have stolen 4 of my renown pots on 2 toons. Both times it said in chat tab that he gave me 5 and i only got 1 each cake.. The rest of my toons all got their tomes and sp pots though.

3 toons across 3 servers missed out on the expansion extras and the cake, seems funny that if the cake failed so did the expansion extras :D.

I hope we will be compensated for this.

First character got 4 siberys spirit cakes for his Birthday cake. The second, Capacious on Khyber, did her cake thing in the Harbor near the bank and noone else was around. She also asked for 4 Siberys spirit cakes and got only 1. Bug report was submitted.
