View Full Version : Too many weapons, not enough room...

I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue. Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

My rogue is a two-handed fighter and has disruption weapons, everbright weapons, smiting weapons, banishing weapons, metalline weapons, ghost touch weapons, and "everyday" weapons. There's fourteen inventory slots taken up, plus another for his shortbow and another for his returning throwing dagger.

He also carries stacks of potions, scrolls, and wands for buffing, healing, and (if the cleric or favored soul dies) raises.

I have five tabs in my backpack and am still running out of space.

My fighter seems to have less space issues, though he also carries a number of weapons (he is a dwarven greataxe kensei, so he has only one space per speciality).

Any suggestions? Other than "can I have your stuff?" lol...

Mule toons.

That's what we all have to do. If you have spare toons that aren't being used. Move the stuff you're not currently using there.

Buy the sixth tab? My thinking is if they gave us enough space, there would be less incentive for us to buy this. So space being short is more or less an expected design choice.

Only 7 weapon sets?

How can you live with that few

Well any utility guy is going to have space issues, but the only thing to do, short of buying an extra pack, is to simplify. I am guessing, though, that you mean two-weapon fighter rather than two-handed.

One of the things I have had some success doing is only carrying 1 of those specialty weapons along with a debuffer. So, banishing in one and cursespewing in the other...

Another thing might be to not worry about two everbright items, just get a two hander for that and for other such things that are extremely situational.

Just a couple of thoughts.

Ultimately it is more effective to l2p and use multiple weapon sets. I am just noobing and simply using my GS combination when leveling. Raids are a totally different thing and then I have to visit bank.

I only carry the things I know I will need in a quest or area... To carry them around all the time is pointless in my opinion

Any suggestions? Other than "can I have your stuff?" lol...

Just carry the stuff you need, I see no reason to be carrying those weapons all the time when they are very specific and are not needed all the time, this is what happens to many soldiers in the war, they carry stuff they dont need, and they get tired and die.

3 options that all suck:

1. Get a Min II set, a Lit II set, and stick with those and pretty much only those.
2. Use TP to buy another tab
3. Leave loot in chests.

Depending on guild, you could pick option 3, leaving loot with guildies, which would make them like you more. Honestly, bribing guildies might be more worthwhile than vendoring loot anyway :)

Get an item that gives you ghost touch (like spectral gloves or the mabar cloak), then you can dump the ghost touch weapons and use disrupters against ghosts.

Crafting weapons that contain several desired elements at a time also helps.

Can I deconstruct your stuff?

On the more serious note: Yeap. Don't you love sorting? :) What I've done is I make a list of "must have" weapons, and store "must keep" sets in the bank.

Ghost touch I lose, and replace with gear. Etheral Bracers (not a top choice) spectral gloves, and the mabar cloak at high lvl all give your weapons the ghost touch ability. (Only on my barb do I keep a ghost touch weapon as both slots are taken.)

This leaves me down to disruptors, banishers, stat damagers, main damager, ooze/rusty killers.
10 weapons in total. Oh wait, 11. I always keep some form of thrower. 12 if you want to couch a shield for shield blocking.

Now I'll grant you 14, if you have a set of DR breakers such as devil/demon. Other wise any other specialty weapon I leave in the bank and pray I remember it when I need them.

I tend to also max out coin lord favor for bag space fast.

I have the problem even on mine caster ;p
I mean: weapon with click to boost DOt, weapon with lesser maximize click, weapon conc opp, weapon with heal amp, alchemical item, + DR shield.
Not to mention about scrolls (seriously, why heal scrolls cant be stacked in like 500, not 100? I always carry around 300-400, its 4 places already).
Reserve item sets for when I want agro, for when i dont one agro, for heal mode, for more offensive caster mode.
And ta dam - I have like 7-8 spots free to collect loot.

Idl ike to add I have created bank-toon, where i send all things that can come in usefull while lvling TR.

And rogue?
Additional bag for trap parts, Thieves Tools, more sets of weapons, and ofc scrolls cause i have enough UMD - so heal scrolls, buff scrols, weapon buffing scrolls.
Its just bad.

there should be WEAPON bag.
Or at least Spell Ingredients and Scrolls Bag.

I know. I just came to conclusion (after some dev wrote that he first time is reading about sth like lag issue - that left me just staring at page for some good moments) that if its repeated like 50+ more times, maybe they will look on it and listen ;).

heh. my bard has it way tougher than my rogue. not only does she carry all her weapons (and i like me some weapons), she has stacks of scrolls. potions. wands. clickies. item swaps for skills (trapping, UMD, etc). thief's tools. AND.... spell components.

yay

The horrors of any UMD capable character. Sometimes you must make agonizing choices in what you decide to keep on you and what you'll have to do without.

I went through my inventory on one of my toons last night, and gave some of my stuff away to guildies.
It was all stuff I no longer used, and had superior replacements for.

You can always sell 'em too.

Start by losing the ghost touch weapons and get yourself earthal bracers and or gloves, or the VoD set.

If tier 3 Alchemicals are within your reach, Flametouched Iron/Air/Air/Air/Red Augment Crystal of Metallic Edges in the main hand and swapping between Epic Kron'zek's Cruelty and a second different t3 Alchemical (flametouched, fire/earth/whatever/metallic edges) covers almost all DPS situations with just three weapons. Then just go with some sort of crowd control weapon (any of the Improved Paralyzers or Epic Sirrocco) and you are set.
