House Cannith farming - is this normal?

Spent half a day to a day trying to farm for Fabricator's Gaunlets...

Alchemist's Crowns - 3
Magewright's Spectacles - 2
Tinker's Gloves - 1

Fabricator's gaunlets - yup, 0

I'm checking the three possible spawn spots for Wrack, he seems to spawn the least of the rares and the chest seems the poorest.

Is this normal?

yes, this is normal. best thing to do is get a few buddies, do rare runs solo then when one of you finds him, join up and pray to loot gods. or, you can wait.... supposedly they are upping the rare encounter chance so he spawns more.

had a guildly that was farming for them for what seemed like forever. Finally a set dropped in my name and I passed em over.

a couple days later, I was going to go solo one of the quests for flagging and ran into wrack.... First time kill on that toon....

Yup.. GOt a set of Gauntlets......

Lol. I spent at least 2 solid hours over the past weekend running through Big Top trying to pull Kron'zek's Cruelty (I've got it down to just over a minute invised with my level 18 Ranger). Finally gave up after my last hireling ran out and took a couple days off. Next time I decided to try, I bought the 3 cheapest hirelings I could, put one on my hot bar, and took off. First run of the day - there he (and it) was :D

I keep a character at the entrance to the manufactory, and every time I start or end a DDO session I run him through all the rares. I've been doing this for two or three weeks and very early early on started tracking the numbers. I've done a full run 113 times, out of which I have only even seen Wrack 7 times, and none of his chests had a unique item. I have more of the other 3 than I'll ever conceivably need . . .

It's like farming a Bloodstone, but more frustrating since most of the time the rare isn't even there (whereas you almost always at least get to kill one of the Bloodstone or RSS rares on a desert run).

I've seen people put raid groups up offering 100K for Gauntlets. I guess it's frustrating. I've pulled four or five just running to quests, so I wouldn't know.

I wrack can spawn all over the place. I have him show up several times after opening random doors (like the one in the NW portion with the scroll case). I would recommend not just running through but actually killing everything to determine if he shows up.
