It solely depends upon you.

Worth is only decided by you. Your TRed toon gets a feat granted at creation depending upon the class you were. Then you get access to a feat to choose on based on the PL. Then you get bonus stat points at creation.
Downside is you lose all of your tomes you have used. This is true until the next update when you get to retain all tomes you have used through TRing, so you might want to wait until then you have used some good ones.

Yes, you have to get more xp but you really dont notice until around lvl 16 anyway because of all the xp bonuses available.

Personally, I found the TR process too long for me to do more than 1 toon, but I get maybe 4-6 hours a week.

Yes. Your 2nd life is so much more fun than your first life.

All that BTC or BTA gear you got on your first life several levels after you really need it? Now it's available as soon as you hit the minimum level for the gear.
- Having a Greensteel item available at lvl 11 or 12, instead of lvl 17-20 (whenever you first got all the ingredients you needed).
- Having a few hundred thousand plat available to buy potions and other consumables at level 1 means make it easier.

You don't have to worry to much about gear on your 2nd life - between stuff in your TR bank and having the plat to buy incidentals from the AH, you can just focus on running the quests you want to run.

And it doesn't take incredibly long to level on a well geared toon - it doesn't even take quest grinding. Just make sure you are geared enough to run elite quests at level, and ride that bravery streak into the teens.

The more you play, the faster you'll level.

You'll "learn" the game better as you go, like which quests give better xp, and you won't be "stumbling through" quite so much. Take VoN 3, for example, it's quite daunting the first couple of times through it, but a well-geared, experienced group can burn through it easily in ~10-15 minutes.

If you're looking to run up levels as fast as possible there are a variety of guides on these forums as to the best xp/min quests, and when/how often to run them. If (like me) you prefer to take your time leveling, learning what your character can and can't do, think of the higher xp requirements as "extra time" to do so.

I found with the new bravery bonuses, and the upcoming learning tomes, you really don't have to start repeating quests until the upper-mid levels (15 and up) if you don't want to.

I had four capped toons before I TRed one, and I recommend having at least one other 20 before you do, to farm raids and higher-level quests to keep your TR well-geared as you level.

There's definitely an extra feeling of power, running a well-geared and slightly more powerful toon through lower level quests that you're already familiar with.

I really enjoy levelling up, and some of my favourite quests in DDO is soloing waterworks at level 3, Shan-to-Kor at level 4-5.

Levelling up a TR means I get to do quests I really like doing again.

Cant write more, gotta go run Delera :D

Get to cap first. Then cap a second character.

Decide then if you want to TR. It is slower than leveling up a new character, but you've got better kit.

Both options allow you to explore the game again with a fresh class and fresh perspective.

Ok ill try and Make 2 Characters. But Right now leveling getting from 7-8 is taking ALONG time so i thought if i TRed it take even Longer. Do higher lvl Quests Give more XP? I know all of Necropolis Part 1 give like a total of 20k XP.

This. If you enjoy leveling up a toon and/or are bored by end game content you can still TR and go for another life. You can experience more powerful toons due to 34pt builds and past life feats. But...

If you are still level 8 it's way too soon to think about TRing. Get to 20, play what you have to play and then you'll see for yourself. Do what is fun to you.

7 to 8 takes a vet maybe an hour to level past.

don't even think about TRing until you have capped a character.

I'm saying this, not to be mean, but to inform you. you have probably somewhere in the 300k range fro your total XP right now. later levels on a TR take 300k xp for 1 level, not the 7-8 that you have now.

I waited until I had a few characters running shroud before I tr'd anyone. That might not work for you, but having people that can grab ingredients and make GS items is nice to have.

Probably less necessary with Cannith Crafting now.

If you think it took a long time to level a first life, you are in for a surprise. It takes quite a bit more to level on your 2nd life. Especially once you get into the higher teens.

That aside, I'm finding it quite a lot of fun. It all depends on your style of play.

Is it worth it? That answer depends entirely on what you consider fun.
Some past lives are vastly superior to others. Yes, your character will be more powerful and play differently. TR'ing is something you should have a plan for, IMO. It can be a sizable time investment on your part (depending on how you play), and worth the effort to plan ahead so you can make the journey more fun.

ddowiki.com will go a long way to answering your questions.

Best past life depends on what you are building. Paladin gives healing amp, so good for a lot of builds. Wizzie PL increases spell dc's. Barb active PL acts as a toughness feat, and you get some more HP. Monk increases your unarmed damage die.

If you multiclass you get the PL of the highest class level. If there is a tie, then is alphabetical, escept in some strange cases. The wiki explains it better.

Depends manly if you will enjoy it or not. If you TR and say wow this stinks then well probably wasnt worth it. This is a video game created to enjoy if you find yourself not enjoying it its time to move to another game.

I'd second that advice to get two characters to cap before TRing. End game stuff is fun and it would make me sad to miss out on that while TRing. Took me a long time to take the plunge and TR my main toon, but I'm enjoying the journey so far. I'd find it hard though without the packs. You'll likely find you've earned a few more through turbine points from favor by the time you get to higher levels.
