Build Questions

#1 – I currently have a TWF Ranger that I will be crafting two Lit II scimitars for. Since his PL feat will be ranger, I would like to keep some ranger to get manyshot again and reuse a lot of his gear (bows, etc.). Therefore, I would like to use Ranger 6 as a minimum, to get ITWF and Manyshot. Also, got traps (just did epic traps last night and did OK). I’m thinking that the most ideal build would be Rog2/Rgr6/Ftr12, since I have stalwart necklace also. I’m guessing I can do traps OK if I spread the rogue levels out and use ranger to keep up Search and DD. I plan on maxing UMD, as not all healers are created equal (and I run many healers, so I’m not just whining here). Got several +2 tomes ready to go, so I can start with 15 DEX, plan on going Horc again also.

#2 – I am capping cleric/monk now and plan on TR’ing him into a paladin/evasion tank hybrid. I really like UMD, for the above referenced reasons, so I prefer rog2 to monk2. But, I am willing to listen to reasons for the monk. I was thinking either a rog2/pal6/ftr12 or rog2/pal12/ftr6 and get the stalwart defender/defender of syberis line of enhancements. I plan on burning a +2 supreme tome to make it work, 34 points. I know I can search too and have found some ftr12 mixes, but need to know the reasons why I should choose that and monk. I would prefer to use human again also.
