Never bothered with these. What is the proc %/duration on these ?

I'm curious about this too, thinking of including the new necklace with improved deception in my questing/self sufficiency gear layout am curious to know how well it will work.

I'm guessing 3% for normal, 6% for improved. Anyone that has an item can test the duration.

Unfortunately Deception does not apply a debuff in the examination window for targets, which makes it very annoying to test. Compounding this is the fact that the graphical effect is relatively subtle and the audio effect is almost non-existent. I have an exploiter with a Decepti(c)on weapon so I am open to suggestions on testing methodology, I haven't thought of any good ones yet.

Sadly Kinerd is right. The only way to test it i can think of is to fight 1 vs 1 on a high SA toon (so that it's easier to see) against a high hp 0% fort boss - preferably a high lvl rogue having aggro, not blinding the mob obviously.

As for graphical effects, apart from the subtle "darkness-falling-down" effect, it seems that a mob turns around when Deception procs if you fight it alone. Not sure if that occures on every proc but i've definitely seen it.

I'm looking to add a deception item to my rogue. Perhaps the graphical effect will be noticeable against the training dummy?

You may be on to something. I get an actual 'target can not be influenced' message when my dog tries to bluff the dummy. Wondering if something similar would pop w/ deception.
