no.
ok the real reason for this is because you cant take both of them. they require the repective ac boost and when you take one it locks out the other.
hope this helps!
on another note- if you could take both - i imagine that it would be like combat expertise and definsive fighting where you cant activate both

Stalwart requires Fighter AC Boost
DoS requires Paladin AC Boost
you cannot have both PrE at the same time on one character...
just like "improved turning" stops you being a Hunter of the Dead and a Radiant Servant.

Yeah, as mentioned, they currently lock each other out. There was a plan to make a dwarven version of Stalwart Defender into a racial PrE like elves have Aracane Archer. (After all, the original PrC it was based on was the Dwarven Defender.)
However, you may want to check out the Dev posts in the ""Let's Talk: Enhancements" thread. It looks like the whole enhancement system and PrEs are getting redesigned this year. If you're just looking for a Fighter life, go ahead, but if you plan on keeping this character, you may want to wait at least until the new system is up on Lamannia to decide level splits. It looks like the current plan is to do that this summer.
