so if i get a V.I.P. membership for 3 months and stop the auto renew and just play for free will my stopping the auto renew cost my guild renown?

No. VIP has nothing to do with guild renown.

No - the only way for you to actively make your guild lose renown is to leave them.....

Your extra characters don't get deleted when you're no longer VIP, they just get put in "lockdown" until you buy additional character slots.
