Where do tomes go after I read them?
It's a book, I should be able to re-read it!

I liked the om nom nom animation much more.

Maybe change it back for the first tome a character "consumes" to prevent future confusion.

I think the PnP explanation is that the magic that suffuses a tome (or manual) is expended upon reading. After that, it's just a normal book (or possibly a blank one if the writing disappears with the magic).

I guess same thing as what is happening on my scrolls when I use them. I mean, I'm just reading the scroll.

And, same thing I guess on my pots. I should be able to keep the bottle and ask the vendor to recycle it and have a discount for the next 100 pots that I will buy.

Just watch/read discworld and you'll see that the spells just leap out of the books and into your head. The small and submissive ones tend to stay in the books and allow themselves to be read over and over again.

You just read it that thorough that there's nothing left to call a book after you are done.

After all, you know the book already. Why would you want to read it again?
