ML 19 Supply Chest loot info compiling

Looking to gather information on what (exactly) is dropping from these, so we can garner some more information about the level 23 loot tables.

If you are going to run 23+ challenges and kill major bosses in them, and you can spare some time, please record the following:

1) Before you open the chests, check they are all Minimum Level: 19 and list in this thread how many you will open. (This is important. I won't accept information otherwise, as results will be biased. If you don't believe me, compare how many 'oh NO 0 raid loot in Abbot' or 'ZOMG 7 raid items in Abbot' threads there are, compared to how many 'Oh look, 2 items and a seal' threads appear on the forums). Note that only 'major' bosses in 23+ challenges drop ML 19 chests. 'Minor bosses' such as Wheeps in Disruptor drop chests with an ML around 8 levels lower than the challenge level, so in Disruptor 25 you can expect ML 17 chests here.

2) Supply chests contain one 'major' item, and often have crud (arrows, scrolls, dragonshard fragments, etc). Post just the main item, even if there's a scroll in there that is actually worth more than your vendor trash item.

3) List the following about the item:
- Item base type, all details (e.g. Weapon - Exotic - Khopesh - Special Material: Flametouched Iron, or Tome - Con +3, Unbound)
- The 'declared' + value in the top-right corner
- Any race requirements
- Minimum level (yes, this can be derived from the '+' and the RR, but this might make it easier to see information)

About to open 2 to start this off, although we'll probably need 1000+ to get any useful information.

Ironically, the first one was indeed an example of 'the scroll is worth more than the item', with a PWK scroll showing up. Those scrolls are sickeningly good on Wizards or Sorcs or Artis if you can stockpile a few dozen.

all i looked at was ml of stuff mostly, so i could use it to confirm which (if any) actual quest chests were loollvl23.. Sadly my findings were nearly none are, and loot jewels and chest blessers are scams.

19 challenge chests are loot lvl23 (all challenge chests are ML+4 = loot lvl)
They can contain at the worst:
ML13 Jewel/clothing. Ml14+ armor/weaponry. - and those are very rare. Most are 16, few are 18, rarely 20s.
- Thus if you get a ml12 item.. It's not a loot lvl23 chest. If it never drops lvl20 gear, its not lvl23.

at the best
Ml20 gear. +3 tomes.

ml18 supply chests are loot lvl22, cannot drop ml20 gear or +3 tomes.

and yea: Schemes elite (21) +loot weekend = 22 +2 jewle = 24 +2 chestbless = 26 = Not ml23 chest = scam.

tho oddly loot jewels actaully do work on low lvl chests i think as ive seen things jump up to new tiers from a cpl quick ransacn runs of haverdashers.. think they just lock the high lvl loot tables to not be affected by jewels.

you might want to know what boss the chest was from, since there is plenty of chatter about different chest cr from different bosses/challenges.

ie. allegedly +3 tomes will still drop from cr24-25 rushmore challenges and kobold island(from the bosses that spawn later in the instance), but not from any boss on any difficulty from lava caves and extraplanar palace.
Also, there was a dev post that said cr24-25 are classified the same. dangit now I gotta search....

Roughly:

21-Hard
22-Elite
23-Elite
24-Epic
25-Epic

I do know that you previously could get a +3 tome out of a cr20 challenge chest, but that was back when cr20 challenges and cr25 challenges both dropped chests that were ml20. now those chests have had their ml's changed

Yeah as far as I know, the ONLY level 23 loot comes from:

- Epic chest, VON6, if and only if you get no shard, seal or base item
- Epic chest, DQ2
- Horoth chest, Elite TOD
- Suulo chest, TOD, any difficulty but only some of the time
- Possibly (but not certain), epLOB, eLOB, epChrono, epMA chests
- Min level 19 chests from challenges (all Rushmore bosses on 23+, Marilith/Lich/Auraxyllon chests in high level Extraplanar Mining, Fire Giant Warlock in 23+ Time is Money, Disruptor Skele in high level Disruptor)

Pretty sad the freakin ddo store.. challegens, and hell even reaver on normal has +3 tomes, but not whats undeniably the most devastatingly difficult raid in the game.

and yea I can doubly confirm rushmoor 23 is a decent spot for +3 tomes.. While i never got one myself, two friends now have.. one even sold me his tome. Fairly challenging bosses tho, so its worthy to have em.

I was wondering when you guys were gonna start working on more info for the supposed +3 unbound tomes....

I wish I took some screenies, but I was doing some testing on "where I can find ML 19 items" during the +1 loot bonus, using both +1 loot jewels and +2 loot jewels.

Quest Completions - After numerous Sins, Weapon Shipment, Wrath, New Invasion, Genesis runs, I found ML 19 items (cloaks and hats mostly) from Sins, Wrath and New Invasion quest turn ins. I did see 1 +2 tome, from the same list that had a ML 19 charisma/hide cloak in it for Sins, so I have to wonder if it's even possible to get +3 unbound tomes outside of Challenges.

*** Note that I was seeing ML 19 accessories on 5th+ runs of Sins quest end rewards.

Quest chests, on Hard, +2 loot jewel - I found multiple ML 19 items from Sins chests, none from any of the other quests, and even found a +2 tome again, on the same Sins run as a ML 19 item. Odd coincidence.

Quest chests, on Hard, +1 loot jewel - Nothing I could find would hit ML 19 or really came close.

Explorer area chests +2 loot jewel - Both Centurion Alma and Kalon along with Gatesmasher and Armisos dropped ML 19 items. I did not see anything of note from Blackpaw, Agradoxes, Primus Aspidon, Bonebreaker, Grumnuk the Mercenary or Redtooth, I did not even see any of the others, or they weren't close enough to anything to bother checking.

Explorer area chests, +1 loot jewel. Only Armisos ever dropped a ML 19 item.

Challenges -

Level 23 Extra Planar Mining: Buying Time - This is the only challenge I have run, and Devashara (sp?) drops a ML 19 chest everytime, and I have seen ML 19 items from it, but no tomes at all.


** Just wanted to point out where I have found some ML 19 loot. I will start taking some screenies tonight and do some more runs and take note of what all dropped where, for more specific answers

loot lvls as low as 21 drop ml19 loot.

You need 23 for +3 tomes.. Also the only source of ml20 loot.

loot jewels or other loot bonuses dont seem to work on chests above lvl20 by all accounts.

So you should be looking for ml20 loot, not 19.. 19 doesnt tell us much otherthen turbine is stingy out on the +3 tome drops.

That last one is not useful at all, but it is somewhat unique - a ML 20 accessory. (Presumably this is an ML 21 accessory that has been set to ML 20 by the game).

nope.. RR doesn't seem to be factored in terms of maximum ML drops.

I've seen loot lvl23 drop both ml20 regular, and ml20 RR items.. but never loot lvl22.

And seen RR 19 acceosries in loot lvl21 (schemes elite)

yea as Eladrin said, any items over ml20 will clip to 20, until the cap is updated.

I've seen ml20 RR accesories, which would be as high as lvl23 without said ml clipping.

i personally havent noticed a real difference, but is the chest loot box based on class in the options panel checked or unchecked, Sirgog? there will be days when i loot a lot of srolls and lore weapons and than there will be days when i loot a lot of weapons, useful or not for melee classes. i actually think that box is about as reliable as loot gems lol

That applies ONLY to random lootgen end rewards.

If your Monk has it on, expect breastplates and handaxes in chests - and then lots of handwraps and outfits in end rewards.

I'd only seen these 'ML 21' accessories drop from the Traveller's Egg event in the past, although I don't pay attention to rubbish items normally. The Traveller one caught my eye as it was a +8 AC bracer (kicker was +5 to some skill) - a rare and at the time still quite valuable item.
