New Store Item Idea: Marks of Disfavor

New in the DDO STore: Marks of Disfavor - PVP that counts.

Did that jerk in that last run really **** you off? Well now you can punish the other guy for ruining your game time.
Place the mark of disfavor in your hotbar, select the disfavored toon and doubleclick.

Choose from a wide varety of punishments with -10%/-20%/-30% xp penalty marks of disfavor, -1/-2/-3 loot penalty marks of disfavor, -20%/-50%/-75% renown penalty marks of disfavor.

Give a short but sweet Lasting curse, blindness, paralysis, disease marks of disfavor (until cured by spell)

Or give them something special with Vulnerability Marks of Disfavor, give them a 50%/100%/200% vulnerability to the damage type of your choice.

Available in 1 hour(per tier) (500/1000/1500tp), 24 hour(2000/4000/6000tp), 1 week (10000,20000,30000), 30 day (40000,80000,12000tp), and for those people who really deserve it, a year and day Marks of disfavor (50000,100000,150000tp)


Need to lift that curse, pay for a Mark ward or dispel it at half the above price.

Awesome idea! Er... at least until the jerk in that last run discovers this sale, decides he didn't grief me enough in that last run, and starts dumping Mark of Disfavor effects on me as well.

Don't worry, a single Ward blocks all Marks from all sources for its duration. So it has a natural detente feature.

Also, Turbine could earmark like 50% of the funds from Mark sales to fund a Special dev team that does nothing but work on Bug Fixes.

That would be a win/win for the community.

Think of it as 'Griefing for a Good Cause'

One of the side effects would HAVE to be the in-ability to use the marks while one was running on you and 48-72 hours after.. Retaliation would happen excessively after. Oh, and make it so that you can only use one mark per week, so make sure to use it for the right reason..

I'm assuming this is a joke because sanctioned griefing would be ridiculous.

But what about the other way around? Why not have the ability to buy marks of favor for friends or people you play with and appreciate?

But the game already has sanctioned griefing/anti-griefing items in the store. The Pumpkin/Skull heads and the Potion of the Party ****er, this is just taking it to the next level. With 50% going to turbine for phat profits, and 50% to bug fixes. this would be a total win for Turbine, and the DDO community (most of whom I loathe from day to day). Think of all the bugs that would be fixed.

And being able to buy bonus items for friends would be good idea too.
