When do the Ice Games Start?

There have been a few threads in which a post here and there have asked whent he ice games start. Those threads ended without any answer. When are the ice games going to start? In previous years, they typically have been the weekends during Festivult. I haven't seen any dates or times this year, and we are about to enter our first weekend. Whats the dealio?

It's Xmas eve and no ice games - seriously ***'s going on?!?!?

Is it so hard to get an official answer? Did they cancel them? Are there issues starting them that we need to be aware of. Did the only guy who knew how to flick the ice game switch to start them leave the company? Give us some sort of information!!!

I would have to imagine Soon™ also. There was a one line note in the U12 Patch 1 release notes about the Risian alter now using the barter system so they have obviously done some programing on it...Now they just need to get all the exploding harvestable mushrooms out of the code so it works correctly and dosent crash the servers I'd imagine...:D

Just mentioning that Festivult came and went without the Ice Games last year, until there was Festivult in July (Lharvion). It was the out of season Festivult that was first tied in any way to Risia

QFT. I've been responding to people in general chat in the harbor for the past couple days, saying that it will likely be within a week or so, since the Festivult ends soon. But after reading this post, I was completely wrong. I've only been playing for a bit under 2 years (March or April '10), so I missed the first Risia event. I now remember being confused as to why the Risia event didn't occur before Festivult ended last December, because it did during the June or July Risia event I first participated in.

Sicne the ice games have been around Christmas in the past and it was mentioned that you can now trade the recipes in the trade window, it will prolly happen but not as of yet sadly.

To your comment of so what?? There are many people who enjoy the ice games and like having it around to add something to weapons and items and such. So saying "so what" isnt really helping answer the original question now does it??
