TR progression question.

I have an AM Wizard that I TR'd back into a Wizard and will eventually TR again. He is CC so I wanted that extra DC so now I need to concentrate on other things to help him.

I know I will be doing 3 past lives as a barbarian as fast I can get them out of the way (I do not want to stay a barbarian for any length of time as this class is just a means to an end for this character) but my question is which class should I do first to help being a barbarian sting a little less AND will help the wizard when it is all said and done?

Is 30 HP really worth three or more months of grinding?

Anyway, I'd recommend that you just grind some gear and go to barb without any other lives in between. Monks give a +1 damage bonus, but that's kind of inconsequential for the time investment it requires. Just get a couple of green steel items (HP goggles, lit2 greataxe/falchion) and try for madstone boots from Reavers and the fabricator set out of the cannith chain.

I did my barbarian past life the cheating way
I leveled as a tinkerer untill 14/2 and then took the last 4 levels as a barbarian to only lesser TR with a +5 heart to bring it down to a 9/9/2 so gain access to the barbarian past life

I aint leveling a non self sufficient barbarian, no way
I rather stick for leveling to a strong self sufficient build which doesnt require a nanny at all, and unfortunately barbarians arent that self sufficient, definately for leveling

Its best to get the barb life out the way your first few lifes since xp is less but since that not a option for you.

Barb life not that bad simple go 1/2 elf take the clr diltant dont rage so u can self heal which is way more important then raging since 90% of pugs are horrible. Take 2 lvl of rog for evasion. a good mix would be 2 rog 6 ranger for rams and bow use for those times u need to range, use handwrapes for first 8 lvls then go twf after u get ur 6th lvl ranger in at lvl 8 then barb rest of the way. making a haste clicky is a good idea before u tr 3 is best, a displace clicky is good to have around aswell. hirelings are ok but its just better to self heal so u dont lose the 5% when they run into traps and what not. make sure u pick up the healing amp line to help the heal scrolls out and having healing amp dragontouch robe is gravy when u hit lvl 16.

want a better way? dual box a 2nd account and pike the barb while u run a wf sorc threw everything past lvl 8

First thought was pally for some healing amp.

Monk=+1 damage-useless for wiz
Ranger= a bit of resists and +2 ranged damage-pretty meh
Pally=5% HA-not bad if AM
Fighter=+1 attack/combat feats-useless for wiz
Fvs=+1 pen/20sp-useless for barb
sorc=+1 evoc/20sp-useless for barb
cleric=+1 conj-useless for barb
rogue=bit of SA damage-useless for wiz
bard=ench/ill saves?-useless for anyone
arti=+1 umd-not bad actually

Arti for umd might help the barb lives be a bit more self sufficient-which is the part of playing a barb you might not like, coming from wiz.

But honestly the idea of getting a past life to make 3 other past lives go easier so you become a better caster is...a bit mind numbing. If 30 hp is worth 4+ lives...more power to you I suppose. Honestly if you are going to do 4+ lives for that little extra edge maybe just plan for completionist...thats 20hp and +1 DC right there :D

I'd rather go 10barb10/wiz than anything else...or drop some dough for a +5 heart like someone said.

Dualboxing is best bet maybe.

I know in my final build I have 3 wiz, 3 fvs, 1 cleric, 1 bard, and 3 barb. I would have done Sorc 3 times but its past life does not count as a mental toughness feat (it mimics it to a tee though) like the barb's PL does for toughness.

I am saving bard for next to last life because I might prefer it over wiz for CC due to the things I have seen them do that I could only wish to do (yeah, they rock that much in the CC department). With the 3 past lives of barbarian it is only 30 health but that can mean the difference between life and death for a bard singing and the mobs are beating on him until the CC gets in (wiz with quicken is instantly yes or no but bard is wait until the song is done giving the mobs time to smash your head in, lol).

I already know which weapon to craft for the fast lives of barbarian but what I don't know is his armor but this is just for the future as I get my hearts by doing epics and those have been slow to come since U12 hit.
