Anyone know when these start? I would have expected them to be live already given that it's only three days before Santa gets stuck in everyone's collective chimney.

Has there even been official confirmation from Turbine that they are in fact happening this year?

As soon as more people leave to play SWbore, and the lag subsides a bit more THEN they will start the Ice games.. Just to keep the server side lag up to par :o

Probably sometime in Jan though.. Not likely to happen with Festivult, XP/loot/renown bonus going all at the same time.

Oh, I had thought it was meant to be a holiday thing, sort of part of Festivult. I guess I can see that it might be something completely separate.

It is kind fo tied to Festivult.. But they typically have staggered things with the Ice games showign up about 1/2 way through. But you never know...

I believe the very first Risia games coincided with the Winter Olympics.

Twigs were worth a fortune.

So much whining about twigs, that the games came back in April, and June, and August. August was when Warner Brothers bought Turbine. Then, the games came back again in December of 2010.

January 3, 2012 at 10 AM EST is when it usually starts. But you never know. The new person on the switch to enable ice jumping might start it at exactly Midnight EST on January 3.

last year, the Risia Ice Games went on during Festivult. Back then, I had to decide if I was doing Festivult or Risia. At least, this time it is not at the same time and I can do both.

This year we have not had 1000 Turbine Points per month for VIPS during Christmas. Another nail in the coffin of being a VIP.
