My artificer's iron defender sometimes stays around after I log out. Sometimes he stays where he was multiple log in / log out cycles ago. However, he never appears to be there when I log in. Instead, when I log in, it appears I do not have an iron defender summoned, and so can summon a new one. Then, I can go to somewhere where I previously logged out and find an old copy of my iron defender! Well, at least I have been able to find him once.
I am quite certain it is an old copy of my iron defender, and not someone else's of the same name, since he is the same level and is wielding the same +1 Banishing Module of Greater Magical Beast Bane.
