Have not heard a lot from the devs on this one. There is one quote here:

This does not seem to be WAI; we're investigating.

And there was another by Eladrin that has seemed to be removed...that is what raises my suspicion. Are they looking at the end rewards and planning on fixing it in the next year?? Do I run Abbot on one of my chars 80+ times for one item??? I'm holding at 79 right now....

If it is WAI or they do not want to fix it anytime soon I might as well right? But if a fix is coming in the next month I'll wait. Running a raid 80+ times is silly in my point of view...I have other chars that I want to get in there ya know...

I vote you wait until next year to run your 80th. Its a +1 Loot Bonus, 20% XP Boost, and + 20% Guild Renown event until Jan 2nd, so you have other stuff you could be doing while you wait for a fix.

You shouldn't I know people that have since the latest patch/update and the list is still bugged.

A friend picked up his 40th yesterday when we told him not to. Needless to say, it's still bugged.

If Turbine is anything like other American companies, they are on a skeleton crew right now. You should not expect to see much of anything out of them until mid-January at the earliest. Most of my company is on forced "use it or lose it" leave right now, and I doubt they are much different.

I wouldn't if it was me.

If you do though be sure to report how the list looks, so far I've only heard the short list, but that's probably because people with regular lists don't come to the forum to post about it

From all reports, you could end up with anywhere from two to twelve items. If you're feeling lucky...

I ran a 20th on a TR after all the patching and got 4 or 5 items, plus a 50 Renown token. I got what I wanted, luckily, but it is definitely still bugged.

You can search for another post I made on 12-15-11 on this subject. In it is a screen shot of me getting a whole two items in my reward list...

I dare you to run your 80th.

Don't do that. I will out of spite. ;)

I am hoping for a little info from Turbine on this...is there a fix in the near future???

I'm certain one of the "soon"s applies to this. ;)

I wish I had NOT run my 20th ADQ looking for a torc.

Oh well, 19 more trips around the track!

Sure run it, but dont turn it in.
Wait for the next patch, prolly no more then 1-2 weeks away. Then turn it in and let us know.

The question isn't "should I run my 80th" but instead "will it be fixed by my 100th?"

Been thinking the same thing. Just came off timer for a 20th this afternoon. Hmmm...do I feel lucky?

I wouldn't even run it. For all we know, the loot list is generated when you step out of the quest, not when you talk to the quest giver.

What could possibly be the upside of running it and not speaking to the quest guy? There's absolutely no space for anything but bad in that decision. All potential for downside, with absolutely no compensatory upside? Pass.

I would put in a ticket with CSRs every day (EVERY DAY) asking them whether or not its safe and okay to attempt your 80th.

Tell them that you would like a definitive answer from them, along with a willingness to honor an accomodating backup plan (give you your item, remove 80th so that you can wait and run it again when it is safe, etc.), should it turn out that 20th's are still bugged.

Do this every day, and possibly accompany the CSR ticket with bug reports and forum posts. And PMs to MajMalphunktion and MadFloyd.

When they ask you to stop, tell them you will stop when you can safely run your 80th with assurances from them that they will ultimately make it right.

You may wish to encourage them to add a notice of some sort or even take the raid down until it is fixed properly.

I know what you're thinking. "Will I get six end list choices or only 2?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement the devs kind of lost track of fixing this. But being as this is the Abbott, the most pain in the ass raid in the game, and not getting the item you want would make your head explode clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

I can actually say that reward list is populated when you turn in the quest. I ran a shroud the day before the Update with the change to rewards and waited to turn in until after Update went live. My reward list included Shroud Mats.

U10 Abbot: 50k hp
U11 abbot: 110k hp
U12 abbot: 303k hp

U13 could be 600-900k hp at this rate =)

Upside: You can get the endreward. Abbot may well be back to impossible to complete land as its been many times the way things are going.

And yea we know for a fact when the loot is generated, as theres been tons of player testing and dev post to back up the fact:
It's generated for you when the list pops up, much like clicking on any chest.

Several have specificly kept there 20th not turned in pre u12, then got there (truncated) reward after, and it did include some new loot, that otherwise never existed at the moment of there actual dungeon completion.
