View Full Version : Divine Hireling Modifications
In all seriousness and with the changes to shroud, abbot, epics…
Please make the following modifications to divine hirelings:
1. Unlimited spell points, quicken, max ranks in concentration
2. Spam mass spell locking feature. So essentially double clicking the mass spell icon will lock the spam spell feature and the hireling will continue to spam mass cure spells. Much like indicated in the attached example below.
3. Allow hirelings in raids.

They need a heal only mode, that's the only change needed.

I have difficulty believing this request is actually made in all seriousness as you stated. On the chance that it is

They also need to either use quicken, or put some skill points in concentration. I watched a single archer hitting for 4-5 points per arrow solo a level 12 hireling because the hireling's spells got interrupted every single time. The cleric hirelings also really need some more HP. The lvl 10 FvS has more HP than the lvl 20 cleric...

Here's the modes I'd like to see for divine hirelings
Hjeal meh mode!
1. Stand right here... exactly here. Don't move at all, seriously not at all. If you move at all, I better not see it, because if I do, I will drag the mobs back to you and hit diplo just to laugh at your suffering. If I'm out of your healing range, that's my own freaking fault. Let me die for my own stupidity if that's the case.
2. Use your heal spells on me. Feel free to heal yourself as well, but you really shouldn't be taking any damage if you're following step 1. I'll cast invis on you to make sure. If you break the invis, see step 1 for the consequences.
Hjeal meh on the move mode!
1. Follow me, 20 feet away at all times. Do not come anywhere near me. I can handle this ****. You've proven that you cannot... repeatedly. Seriously stay 20 feet away from me at all times. I will let you die and even encourage the mobs to do it in a more painful fashion if you come closer than 20 feet to me.

There you go, I fixed divine hirelings for you Turbine. You can send your thank you's to my account in the form of TP.

I like the variation in the current divine hirelings. Some are lazy. Some are suicidal. I would love to see a follow at a distance feature added for hirelings (and for players when I am getting the traps).

There is one for players, unfortunatly it's not WAI and often results in party deaths from players "following" the trapper from a lead position, like 20 feet in front of the Rogue/Arti.
