View Full Version : Blindness on Bosses?

Alright, I'm looking to my fellow rogues for this one. I've got my Rad II Rapier and I love it. My question is does blindness works on red names? I checked the wiki and searched the forums and I know they have a lot of immunities but blindness is not specifically mentioned.

My follow up question is if they do get blinded, will this result in a 100% SA proc rate? Or will the SA still be blocked depending on their fortification?

Edit: Ok, so the general consensus seems to be...
- Blindness does not work on Red names. Orange names can be blinded though.
- Fortification is not bypassed on blindness or any other effect that allows SA (Deception, Bluff etc)
- Deception works on Red names

Didint work on red but work on orange Namend and any norm Mob.

Red/Purples are totally immune.

As for those that aren't immune with fortification, the damage will be resisted just like normal.

If you want to have an effect which emulates the SA enabling part of blindness on red-named mobs, look for items with the deception, or improved deception property.

Blindness does not bypass Fortification. It just allows you to apply SA damage, even when the mob is aggro'd on you.

It also doesnt work on scorpions, making them rather annoying.

deception and bluff are your boss crunching buttons ;-)

So Deception and Bluff work on red names? It makes sense but I just want to be clear, have you tested this out Karl?

Has anyone else tried deception/bluff on red names?

(don't even get me started on scorpions....)

I know that a year ago, a guildy of mine used deception weapons for the final red named on running with devils - to solo it on his rogue.
I can confirm bluffing various rednamed in epic quests. At least, I was under the impression that this had happened.
