View Full Version : Looking for advice for GS crafting

Within the next month I'm hoping to craft both an SP and HP accessory for my FVS which I will be reincarnating after completing my 20th shroud (which will be around the same time). As of now my plan has been to reincarnate into either 20 Wiz or 18 Wiz/2 Rogue, but I would like to make sure these items remain useful for a variety of characters in the event I decide to TR again (or change my mind). These will be my first two items made so any advice would be appreciated.

For slots, I was considering goggles and either bracers or gloves.

For goggles I was considering Con/Opp, 100 SP, 50 SP (+5 Cha skills), and Blindness/Disease immunities.

For bracers I was considering 20 HP, 15 HP, 10 HP (+6 con skills) and then either Heavy Fort/stoneskin or earthguard/summon clicky.

Now I've seen a lot of threads saying to put Con/opp on the HP item, but this layout would get me everything I would want. I figured that if I was to TR into another non SP class, then I could swap out the goggles for something more melee friendly. For a SP splash melee, I could swap the goggles in and out depending on what I need (buff with the SP, and then put them back on if needing to recharge).

The last piece I really need to decide is if I want Heavy fort or earthguard. Heavy fort would be nice for multi-tr's as I wouldn't have to worry about picking it up on either my armor or belt each time (unless I go minos), but it comes with a double shard price tag. Earthguard seems really handy and is cheaper, but not sure exactly how useful that is compared to stacking heavy fort on a slot that will always be equipped. Suggestions here welcome.

Are there better alternative layouts that would give me these core statistics? Advice for slotting (the goggles slot is mostly useless on my capped cleric/fvs right now)?
