New Plat Sink

Hirelings are a good plat sink.. We buy them try to use them get killed cost plat to repair equipment. Repeat many times so on average at level 14 cost me about 2k per hour. But Devs think they work great.. LoL

I actually found that dev post a bit disturbing :) if hirelings seem fine "from where the devs are" ... im wondering if they are not accidentially logging into another game.

EDIT: Im having less problems with hirelings recently but thats because ive gone back to my old way of using them.... summon them, leave them at the door and only use them if i end up needing a rez.

having them run round with me is just a liability


Id rather have a pack of proper noobs with me..... least they provide humor as they die

Well maybe in a test environment they work okay. But on Live servers 95% of them just are much like Baby sitting.

I usually use my cleric as nothing more than a portable SP & HP duracell.

All they are there for is to keep my red bar in the plus, and to throw me some spell points when I'm running short in a quest.

And yet, even these ridiculously simple tasks seem to be out of reach for them many times.

why use a test enviroment. If we are complaining about something on live, and they are commenting thats it seems to be ok.... surely they should be checking on live. :)

Thats like me saying no lag exists because I can use google fine :)

I agree 1,000,000% that is why I posted that "Mad" test them on live for a few days. Would be quick to see they are not very good. They had fixed the Following now that is Gone away. But even before they fix Hirelings or put out any new content fix the known Issues. A known issues means they know the problem so Fix it..

I have to retract what I said on the other post. Was running ADQ, hard last night, just me (14 monk) and a 14 PM guildie, I had Tempys Bledso... I mean Lorben. Didn't use him at all for the swords. Get to Layyououtalot... I mean Lailat, locked him in the corner.

Started sparring her. Taking 200ish damage every few seconds. He was a real trooper. Was hitting me with heals, keeping me up... until he decided that it was taking too long and started attacking her. Stopped healing me. I begged him, I cursed at him, I even promised half the loot in my ingredients bag... I hate Tempys.

Side note, sure would be nice to have some optional exp in that dang quest. Such a pain to wipe and get nothing but a repair bill.

Re-running it tonight with my 14-cleric son. He'll mind my direction, if not he's GROUNDED!

LoL yes he is very how to say it Nice?? Well rocks are better at least with a rock you get the same result every time. Had him in Sykro's Jewel. Failed to follow then when called never healed me and never healed him self. Both dead in End quest fight. So used my free res cake yes stupid idea. He gave me a res then very quickly let me Die then get him self killed.. Sad all that time and 4k xp on normal was wasted.
