I need advice on my first TR

currently I have a ranged arti with a 32 point build. I really enjoy ranged and love the few spells I have. Is there anyway I can tr to get more damage and more spell points? I'm very new at this so the more info you give the better it will be.

Yes, but you won't get THAT much.

If you don't have a couple of crazy friends to zerg the content with, TRing will take somewhere between 3 weeks and 2 months. In that time, you could get a lot more damage by running endgame content. Make those epic items that seem impossible. Get a 20th completion on the shroud, VoD, reaver's, dq2, and ToD. A Tharne's Goggles will add more DPS than any of the past lives can.

Explore the other stuff your class can do. Artificers are the best single-target healers in the game , and healing a tank in a raid is one of the most exciting things to do in this game - usually more than actually tanking.

Most importantly: learn the little tricks of DDO combat. The game has a fast paced, complex, completely insane combat system. Sometimes, simple tricks like "dropping a blade barrier and a turret and then shooting everything so they run through it to get to you" add more to your DPS than a TR ever will.


Save that TR for when you have serious gear and a cool build in mind. :)
