View Full Version : Why should Clerics run challenges?

I looked over the list of challenge rewards and thought to myself, once again clerics get the SNUB. Did I miss something? Was there a reward for challenges that I overlooked? What possible reason do I have to run a challenge?

Frankly, once you reach 20, what is the point of running your cleric at all? Cleric is, by far, the least equipment dependent class.
Obviously, to play with friends and farm stuff for other characters, but...

But the reward items are bound to character! Most of the stuff are melee based and arcane caster based. Nothing that enhance light damage or positive/negative damage. For that record, nothing much enhance range damage either except a couple of bows.
Or the melee based items actually worked for ranged as well?

the stalker ring is very nice if you ever swing or shoot a weapon. But you're right, for an evoker or nannybot cleric theres not much to look at.

From what I have seen of the challenges, why even run a melee character or hjealor type at all?
It is completely obvious that the challenges are dominated by casters. Why even waste your time with anything else????
I wish I knew which dev has the HUGE love affair with with casters. I would just like to remind him/her that not everyone likes to play a caster.

Yup, it's like he said, not that it makes any sense but it's true.

Well, only the belt is particularly interesting to my cleric right -now-, with the rock boots looking more appealing at higher levels... but TBH I intended to eventually craft about half the items out of this pack. Because my cleric won't always be a cleric and in his next life I want to have some toys ready to play with.

Monk run speed is quite helpful if your monk has the gear to kill stuff quickly. But yes, I've found challenges are best done solo (I can get 2+ challenges done in the time it takes to FORM a party) and casters are the easiest by far to solo on.
